Sir, I am a Bunt Shetty and neer dosa is cooked every weekend at home.i liked your video as you have shown an unconventional healthy method of cooking this dish. normally we make neer dosa with a still thinner batter, spread it on the tava, remove it without folding as you did. put in a side plate, fold it twice and enjoy it simply with Kori gassi or curry if you are a non vegetarian or potato curry.

I was wondering why people make the food about the country or state..such as Mangalore or Tamil Nadu? The recipe is perfect example of modern Indian Cuisine that incorporates old and new so there is no point in arguing whether Neer Dosa has stuffing or not or whether it is called DOSA or DOSAI...simply the recipe is excellent

Food items evolved way before todays geographical and cultural boundaries we consider so absolute and sacrosanct. Neer dosa/Paan polo/Tandlache ghavan is a dish peculiar to the Konkan belt which extends from Maharashtra to Kerala. Yes, its popularised as a manglorean dish since manglorians have been the most enterprising hoteliers be it Konkanis or the Bunts.
