The wire that pulses is considered the control. The wire with the steady (power or ground) is not taken into account when labeling the type of system. Makes sense?

I wish to God somebody could make this subject simple!!! 45 minutes now watching videos and reading and I STILL don’t understand the damn difference between a positive and negative trigger!!! I just wish somebody would give examples. I’m adding off-road lights to my truck with rocker switches and going straight to the battery using a relay. Is that a positive or negative trigger?
