Watching Ross the Oliver Man is tough on my wallet. Now I need an ultrasonic cleaner AND a jump pack. Good thing I didn't buy the $500 ear muffs!

All of those would be great purchases! Plus if you had bought the earmuffs, think of how much easier it would be to go to all those yodeling competitions that Abby competes in.

Use an old speedometer or tachometer cable to run through lines etc. to make them work. They were always a required tool when you were looking for or removing obstructions in fuel or hydraulic lines. Run a 4' or so piece of that flexible cable thru a couple of feet of steel pipe, attach an electric drill to the end of the cable, insert the cable and tube into the tank while holding onto the tube and start the drill. The 2' exposed end of that cable will beat around in the tank and remove a lot of crap that can be washed out. Or plug the outlet, fill the tank with water and then cut a flap big enough to get your hand and arm in through the top of the tank so you can sand it clean. Then with the tank again full of water braze the flap back in place. The water keeps old gas fumes from having explosive quantities. Weatherhead sockets are great for those elbow line fittings. Running those carbs through the bead blaster before cleaning gives you a head start. You youngsters having an Ultra-Sonic cleaner makes us that had the life-killing carb cleaner in the 5-gallon bucket that would have a hole eaten through the bottom and result in a loss of concrete floor surface. You ruined the suspense by posting that short of it running.

I wouldn’t worry about how others complain about the way you do things after all it’s your machine you could even paint the damn thing orange if you want it doesn’t matter! Once a guy had me replace the seals in a front wheel drive planetary and wanted to tell how to do it each step of the way finally I told that he could do the work or take the tractor back home I’m over it! Ross, I believe that that tag on the engine was part of a up grade kit installed on the tractor back in the day. I know that it is a Continental motor made for Oliver, I've never seen them in anything but a 70. Is that a 5 gear motor? I have a HP 70 that uses the 5 gear, used it for years till the motor got real bad. Exhaust manifolds are usually in bad shape. I do love the smooth running 6, but it was a bit under powered. Mine was always hard steering, but I ran it for years on a 4 row pipe frame cultivator. I really need to rebuild mine and get it useable again, I miss it!

Good morning Ross! Once at an auction I got one of those package deals where I got a bunch of other stuff I didn't want. But I'm not smart enough to leave behind, because why would you do that? But one of the things was a nice clean little gas tank off of something in about a gal size. It has turned out to be a good thing to have in a situation like yours. I put some hose, a little ball valve, and an assortment of brass fittings with it. Now to try to start something, I just hook it up to the carb and bypass all of the sadness of rusty tanks, lines, and sediment bowls for a test. NICE! 😊. I'm wondering, would EvapoRust work in those cleaners instead of the magical powdet and water for a rusty carb like yours? Maybe since its Easter, it would help you with a second resurrection! That carb looks like it has had everything done to it but hanging it from a cross!! 😂😂 Have a great day Ross! I miss seeing Buddy around all the time, he must have a busy schedule of his own! 😊😊

Ross, a couple of things. I have a 70 and the sediment bowl is in the same place as yours. A question. You went to an auction sometime after this video, and you said that you bought the White from there last year. Is this an annual sale, or multiple times a year? Where is this auction and what is its name? Thanks in advance.
