Sorry to hear about one of the alpines, and the neighbour's fire. Glad y'all have so much good to balance out when things are harder, and are able to be that for others as well. Small correction on solstice vs equinox: solstices are both winter and summer (when the sun stops moving south/north before changing direction), while equinoxes are spring and fall (equinox = equal day and night)

Hello! Very sad to hear one of the boys passed. Also, the fire down the road, thank goodness someone saw it and was able and willing to act on it to save the horses. I too love the winter equinox and I’m thinking spring…although down here in Tampa Bay, FL, USA it was cool today at 45 degrees this morning - LOL

Look to see if there were satellites in the area when the fire started. We in Finland have had "unexplained" barn fires every week since the US came to Finland, and what they all have in common is that there is a satellite on at the location.
