I'd put the spare tube in a small plastic bag to hold back dirt and if you leave it there for a long time there's a small risk it gets destroyed due to friction from vibration. Also you could put in a chain link. Like said before awesome color of the frame.

Hi, what were those zip tie number board holders you used in the event? Had a search on eBay but couldn’t find them, what are described as ? Could you put a link up?
@ashleywilliams16605 жыл бұрын
MarkMtbWales not seen what you’re referring to, but I think what you’re on about is a marsh guard number board? There about 15quid
@Hondamark25 жыл бұрын
If you watch the video of Neil & Blake doing the event, when he talks about bike prep he fastens the numbers on with what looks like zip ties but they have a threaded inset that you screw a bolt into, bought for a few quid off eBay

We don't know the exact ones Neil got but try searching for "Screw Mount Cable Tie" or "Mounted Head Cable Tie" 👍

27.5 2.8 maxxis minion DHF tires or 29inch 2.6 for this event. That is about it. The bike is perfect. Great choice of components, geometry, travel, really nice. Love it:)

Fun fact: Code’s are NOT super consistent. Just leaving them under the sun for 10mins makes them stick.
@mh_mtb6865 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was going to consider some code r’s although I went Magura mt5s cos they’re more reliable, more powerful and cheaper than the codes. The guides do that too.

I don't see why people claim 29ers look bad. There's something about those big wheels that lets me know the bike means business. It looks solid.

I've got this code's and despite bleeding procedure, which is obviously much bigger faff, they feel a lot like shimano - light action through the stroke and a pronounced feel of pads contacting the rotor - they just don't have that "all in" power so any panic braking won't send you over the bars
