Oh god I just realized. “You let your brain fill in the gaps.” She didn’t actually have a brother, because why would you move in with your brother and housemates when he probably would have had parents. He thought it was her brother, but she never told him about a brother. So his brain filled in the gap to think that click clack was the brother

It comes from the line - your brain fills in the gaps. Think about it. If the narrator really was moving in with his girlfriend and her housemates, why would her 'brother' be there with her and not with her parents? The narrator saw the boy and instinctively linked him to his girlfriend but he's not her brother at all, he's the Click Clack and he's going to 'drink' the Narrator

@haskellbob4 жыл бұрын
My take was that the boy was A Click-Clack. He had "rattlebags" hanging up there - previous victims... I think he wasn't really a boy, either, but took that form since the easiest way to trick the guy was to pretend to be a boy and have him assume the boy was his girlfriend's brother. That's my take, anyway.

So, fun story. I was talking to a friend and asking for KZbin creepypasta reading recommendations, because (to quote myself), "just reading doesn't usually get me spooked". I then clarified the one story that made me qualify that with "usually": Click Clack the Rattle Bag. And then I googled it, because I wanted to send my friend the link to the story, and I found this. So in about 10.5 minutes, I will probably need a change of underwear. Thank you for uploading this, your service to this universe is a great one.
