Without doubt one of your best yet mate and I love the relationship you have with Pops, good to see him getting out following his surgery etc and he looks to be recovering well. What a fantastic location - the soft light and the excellent post positioning / background made for some cracking shots there :) I love how red squirrels are so chill with people around in a hide - I've been photographing them in a different location once and had them actually coming into the hide to get nuts!

Red Squirrels and those lovely autumn colours? What’s not to like? Such a beautiful setting for hide photography at Neil’s set-up. Lovely photos/video from you and Pops of arguably the cutest UK mammal. It is sad to hear from you that the Red Squirrels have gone from Formby. I photographed them there many years ago. Well done Pops in having such an easy first Crestie. They can be so difficult to find, especially during the summer months when I have usually visited the Speyside forests. Fortunately, they are much easier in the winter when they come to garden bird feeders! Lovely berry-eating Mistle Thrush footage at the beginning of your video too. Looking forward to your Crested Tit video ….
