Eveytime i watch this video,or hear this song, I cry. It is so beautiful. It is just how my life married to my husband of 57 yrs. was. In looking back, as hard as it was in the beginning, I would do it all over again. We were very young, and struggled financially. We managed to move past that, after yeas of struggling, and were still in love. He passed away 4 yrs ago, and I would do it all over again.

Reminds me of my mum and dad every time I hear this masterpiece. They started out penniless in the 60's with a baby, worked so hard and ended up with millions. But I can't help feeling they were happiest back then. But they're not, in reality. My dad reached retirement to enjoy his wealth from hard work and long hours, but sadly passed away too soon. So this song I dedicate to his memory. ☹️

Yes my dear so so very sad. I also lost my mom, my dad and two husbands so I sympathize with your pain. There are no pockets in coffins but he is in a beautiful world now without pain if you are religious. Enjoy life my dear, it goes by so damn quickly. I know now 70 years old trust me.

Halls of Fame are an (American, of course) joke anyway. Tiger had won 14 majors BEFORE they deemed to put him in golf's HofF, alongside others who won only a single major. Neil Sedaka's music is in its own Hall of Fame ❤ I forgot how brilliant his voice is, too

I have always loved this song initially as a musician because of its structure and chord sequence, but as a middle aged man I now appreciate the message of the lyrics....a man who has achieved everything he aspired to in his youth, but realising it wasn't all it was cracked up to be and hungers for the simpler years of his youth....it's a lesson for us all
