It is said among the long time fans that he is the walking testament that with age he has refined his skills as fine wine is allowed to gracefully age yet retain a robust presence, so too, our urban and rural legend just up the road from where I live in California, is on his notes in a place and audience far from home in Southern California. I’m 44 minutes in and I’ve got to say that this is the best that I’ve ever seen him (which has been six times) .I saw this tour at the Tower in Philly in the fall of ‘08 and it was great even though he threw in some songs that I wasn’t familiar with. He wore the same shirt and pants too and did quite a few numbers from Chrome Dreams 2. Started with an acoustic set and followed with his electric set. The electric set was the best. The Loner, Like a Hurricane, No Hidden Path were unreal. He played a long time and was in top form.

My fav is nov 76 in Atlanta- it was the nite - he was blitzed but played w well…it was night before he appeared all coked out for “the Last Waltz” and that was horrible- So I hunt down some obscure music site - and I find a soundboard recording of the midnight show I saw all those years ago- it’s a better memory than it was a show- he was about in the same stage as the last waltz show/ coked out - which ruins music and the musician. But this tour sounds strong- I stopped seeing in after 97- he’s not getting okd_ I AM- lol-- But this is really charger show- cheers

Neil hasn't written a decent tune since the divorce from Pegi and her subsequent death from cancer. She was his muse. The girl with the guy's name he married is not a muse. Pegi sang back-up in this video.
