Concerto gratuito che si sarebbe dovuto tenere in Parco Sempione... a Lampugnano si riversarono almeno 5 mila persone in più di quante ne poteva contenere il Palatrussardi e fuori ebbe inizio la battaglia. I lacrimogeni entravano dalle porte aperte ai lati del palco e se provavi ad uscire ti prendevi le bottigliate da quelli che volevano entrare o le mazzate dai celerini. Grande privilegio esserci stato!

We are used to Neil playing the acoustic guitar and the harmonica, however, he is magnificent on the electric guitar as well, underrated I would guess. Always a brilliant performer, his lyrics hitting home, his voice ringing like a bell in our heads and hearts. Great gig this one !

Do you Hear that?.... "The GROWL? ( ie.That Sustain) the Growl of Ole Blackie. That only the Les Paul in the hands of a master can deliver ... do not get me wrong, the scream of the telecaster like Dave Gilmore's is also crazy cool....the Growl..... lol I frickn love the Les Paul! So cool....Now Granted this isn't his best Live recording, for Neil ...but the man can sink words and notes deep into your brain (The needle and the damage done.) plus no non nascence approach to the lead guitar! Distortion soup with a savory side of controlled chaos! And I only covered his electrical madness, dare I mention the drone of the harmonica and his acoustic guitar, awesome song writing skills. Dam Hippy! Love you Neil

My brother literally dragged me out to see Neil in 1978. I was reluctant to go because, as I told him, "I don't want to go see some la la la, la la, la la la la acoustic bullshit." It was the Rust Never Sleeps Tour and I never missed a Neil Young Crazy Horse concert in Chicago for over thirty years. Including this tour. Neil and The Horse, greatest Garage Band in the history of Rock

What a great sounding show.Real good mix that has Billy Talbot's bass clear and 'punchy'..Should be listened to through headphones to appreciate the overall depth of sound.. Many Thanks for posting this show.I came across it by accident.Glad I did! I much prefer the sound of this concert compared to that of the Cow Palace pay-per-view broadcast NY&CH would perform 7 months later(Nov 1987). This concert was performed in Milan,Italy..Palatrussardi opened in Sept 1986 with seating for 8,400. It would later be known as Palavorbis,Palatucker,Mazda Palace and PalaSharp.Suposedly closed down in April 2011. Does any one know if this was broadcast for Italian Tv?

This is an infamous concert. Entry was free, offered by the city of Milan, much more people than expected showed up and a riot started outside the venue. Several people were hurted, police used tear gas that entered the structure. Neil Young was very upset that night. The Palatrussardi was actually a circus structure that was meant to be temporary, it is still up to these days

I love the Italians. So much emotions. Love, anfger, harmony all in one. Figures Neil was upset, if it was up to him, all of Italy would have been fine including the Pope ! Fabulous concert, saw many many in the states, but never with the energy he had this night. The attendees were treated to a rare show.
