I want to live, I want to give I've been a miner for a heart of gold. It's these expressions I never give That keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. It keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. I've been to Hollywood I've been to redwood I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line That keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. It keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. You keep me searching for a heart of gold I've been a miner for a heart of gold. And I'm getting old.

Funny enough his voice isn't the greatest, traditionally speaking, but the mere fact that he writes his songs, plays them, and harmonica/vocals. He's a gem. there's just something about him that screams star. He's gained his respect. Very much 1 of my idols, and the reason I play harmonica

I just wanted to say that I love Neil's "Old Man" and "Heart of Gold". Those two songs will forever remind me of my mom, Frances D.Goldsworthy, who died from cancer on January 4, 2015. They were her favorite songs, and my son, Mark Jr., would play them on guitar for her this past summer, as we sat outside in the sun. It was a bright spot for her as she suffered in pain from the cancer. We actually wanted to mention this in our mom's obit, but found out later that there was not enough money left for us to even publish an obit in the newspaper:(
