Sounds like NP commercial or sponsored video 😂 Too good to be true... but it's always nice to see Wojtek in action. Waiting for another video covering flwas and defects in NP sails 👉

Been on Neil Pryde since 2008... still have first generation Evo 2 & 3 (2010-11) ...also with their original masts for training, along with the newer slalom and foil sails 12-14-15 / 4-5, so much for their amazing quality! The ingenious camber system is the same. The new sails/masts are notably lighter in weight and also have a lighter feeling on the water. Cannot go wrong with NP 😉🤙

As always I enjoyed watching your video. Always full of positive energy. I don't think it will influence my future buying decisions, because your style and level of windsurfing is quite different from mine. I also think NP is simply much too expensive. I'm sure they are very nice sails though, enjoy them fully!

hi wojtek ,very nice video again , i am curious about the downaul settings , do you use basic settings , or do you add a liitle bit , like for highwind or speed ? greetings erwin

Which masts are you using RDM or SDM? If I remember correctly, you used RDM masts earlier. Neilpryde does not make longer than 460cm 100% masts according to their website so just curious on your view on the RDM / SDM topic.

The batten tensioning cams on the trailing edge of NP sails are susceptible to UV britling. I have had to replace quite a few over the years. This requires a sailmaker to un-pick the old batcam and sow in the new batcams. Great sails but the really need to come up with a more robust batten cam / tensioning system.

There’s a way to change the tensioners without opening the rope. You can cut an opening into them do slide them in and out 🤙

@@Nico_GER7 Thanks Nico, sounds interesting. Please post a link to the NP web page (or someone else's if its unofficial) where it describes how to do this without damaging the sail. Thanks in advance.

I am always very happy with the 9.4 V8. I like it even better than my evo X, because it is easier to rig and also the V8 in view has more power in low winds where I mainly use the 9.4. I use it on my large Starboard Isonic.

@@mark051262 But in short: 60 is faster and easier to jibe. And it rides higher so the feeling is nicer than on 63. I am 95kg and I prefere 60 for my 6.5 and smaller sails.
@mark051262Ай бұрын
@@wojtekbrzozowski thank you😃👍 I think the 60 might be much better than the 63 for me. I am 98kg, my local spot is flat water West Kirby, UK. I always sail for speed with a gps. I have an old 2010 SB W58 speed special 58cm & 82ltr) and a 2017 iS90 (61cm & 90ltr). I am hoping an iS60 can replace both boards so I have less boards. I think maybe the 63 might feel bigger than my iS90 and I would need to keep my old SB W58. I look forward to watching your video for the 60😃

In the begining I used to surf bearfoot, but I had always some scars or cuts on my feet. But I just had enough when in 1992 PWA World Cup in Perth Australia I broke my little toe in my right foot and still completed the whole slalom World Cup. It was so much pain that I said "never more". From that time on I use boots and live is great :) I am happy for that decision becouse after 38 years of PRO windsurfing my ancles would be dead if not for the boots. Try Prolimit Raider 2mm boots.

With so many different innovations from brands its seems almost everything works in one way or another. There is no better product as if something doesn’t work it gets changed. The only issue I have is they need to spend more time on testing and not change them every year. Specially now that foiling is involved and have dedicated people for the different disciplines.
@wojtekbrzozowskiАй бұрын
Yes but there is a lot of brands that are to leazy to change stuff that does not work. Or they are to busy with other matters to do it.

I don't agree at all. Been on NP for years, so many broken battens, new sails with too long battens, need to be cuted. Trim is very sensitive. Lastly I got new sail where three of four battens were not in the pocket., Sewing quality is poor, repairs at the bottom of the sails . . Would love to stick some pictures. This summer I switched to GA after many, many years and it is all soooo easy, that I will stay on GA for sure. Have more than 25 sessions on Ga and they are in much better condition as NP after same amount of sessions
@cge771Ай бұрын
It is all very personal. Using exclusively NP Evos (fin) since > 10 years. To me, major improvement from Evo 10 onward. But in terms of quality and breaking battens etc => no, they are definitely more than durable and I think I had one broken batten in total (I have many EVOs). At the same time, was hearing about many more broken battens on Severne (which is not GA / agreed). About sewing quality: yes, I was warned by a surfshop owner (not carrying NP) it would be weak. But in the practice never had to repair my EVOs for this reason. And I use them extensively (living close to the water). Anyway: are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth the price, for amateurs? I would answer with yes because they are definitely lasting (at least for me). Would I agree to pay full price in 2024 for the latest EVO Model? This is another discussion. Fact is that in 2024 you have meanwhile to "fight" to get a sail or a board, at least when you are living outside of Europe. With zero discount in comparison with Poland and Germany mainly. Makes it very expensive and not good for the windsurfing which is already in decline. But will I switch from NP to any other brand? No.
@wojtekbrzozowskiАй бұрын
NeilPryde as company was changing hands in past years but now it is in German hands and the Quality it absolut Top. I am reffering in this video to 2024 collection, not the oldest models :)😀
