He was a true talent . Even though he was a drunk and drug addict, his voice stayed ok. He found new hobbies after he cleaned up, but never gave up on sailing. Stills was always a closet-Conservative, Nash and Crosby had political positions on both sides and Neil Young was always sympathetic to the communist agenda. Despite all of the differences and difficulties, the always managed to create beautiful music.

I truly found CSN&Y when I was like 14yrs old in 1975 0r 6. Have listened ever since then to them separately and apart. They go their separate ways but come together every once in a while still. Some of these onld recordings on KZbin and stuff are amazing. Four charismatic beautiful dynamic people. Fully chronicalled.

When I was struggling to quiet my mind this morning and listen, I heard "Long Time Gone" in my head, so I came to KZbin and listened to a 2009 concert track with my arms raised and tears running down my face at the changes in my country over the last 5 years and all the heartache in the world. Music expresses my/our deepest thoughts and emotions, better than I can.

🌹This is when music made sense.❤️‍🔥I was introduced to Neil Young first, my eldest of 5 Sisters received a 12-string for her 18th birthday and she taught me how to play. The first song I learned to play by Neil Young was "Sugar Mountain" and I still play it 40 years later. I was then introduced to "CSNY" and they stolen my heart. My Sister who taught me to play died of brain cancer, it took her within 9 months. I didn't want to cry today, but here I go again! I helplessly hope for a better tomorrow. 🇨🇦✌🏻🎶❤️🇺🇸✨🌎💫

The song Teach was my favorite song on the album but soon I just loved every song on it. That was a long time ago and the time has gone so fast, I'll listen to this band's amazing music until I pass. @@loufitzsimmons914 We do, but there is such easy access to music that is promoted. There are so many talented people who sing in local groups and have great talent, but it is much harder to keep their music in front of live audiences. Audiences are important to an individual artist's or a group's development. It has become much harder to make a profit from selling new music, also. Technology can be a double edged sword.

And it's an awesome band - from the word "shock" with the vocal polyphony and wonderful harmony of three acoustic guitars that these guys have achieved. For some reason, this group is rarely mentioned by the music media, but these are truly legends of rock music who have not changed their worldview, despite the many musical trends that have arisen over 50 years. Jacqueline...... I’ve listened to their music every single day since the virus started. It calms my anxiety and yes the harmonies!!!!! They blend so beautifully that I can’t really tell who is singing which part. I do know that Nash is the higher tenor part I suppose? This music also reminds me of when I was in high school so it’s special in so many ways. Wish I’d had the opportunity to see them when they were still together. Now they’re all enemies I guess so not a chance of them singing again. Very sad. But yes....... it’s the harmony that pulled me in🥰

I thought I knew or had heard EVERY CSNY song but dang!…this amazing album proves me wrong! I’ve loved them since at least 1970 and here I am, at 70 years of age, discovering new-to-me gems and it’s almost like being back in 1970 again…what a gift music is and CSNY’s harmonies in particular.

I feel lucky to have seen this performance - it was Neil Young's 2nd annual Bridge Benefit concert. Other artist played acoustically at this show, including Bob Dylan, Jerry Garcia & Bob Weir, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Billy Idol and Tracy Chapman. What a killer show that was! Over the years, I saw many other Bridge benefits shows with amazing acts.
