Neisha, this is one of the best things I’ve watched all week! Love this! Thank you for sharing this part of your journey with us! I think spiritual health plays a huge part in our physical health! As a follower of Christ, there is absolutely no way I could do this without Him! He is my life and my all, then comes my six kids and husband! Hugs! ♥️

I so respect your openness! That's difficult. I'm 65 and can truly tell you that so long as you're sincerely trying hard to grow spiritually and are in your Bible and in church, it's going to be hard! We have an enemy who is determined to cause us to fail. So only worry if you cease to care and strive. You, my friend, are in a great position to progress greatly. Not only to you and Kens benefit but those two beautiful babies of yours stand to gain eternally. I enjoy your videos so much. You and Dr. B have helped me so much to lose 105 pounds. July 1, I'll have been eating keto (more and more closer to carnivore ) for 5 years. Thank you

I agree. You are striving to grow, and that is what is important. I have also struggled to get back, mostly since Covid and I have troubles with mornings. We just need to continue to grow our faith. As a teen (40 years ago), I used to say 'I hated' this one girl. My best friend used to just say 'Matthew 5:44.' It really helped me get past that. Of course, the reason I 'hated' her was probably minimal ton your struggle. But I love learned that when we don't forgive, WE are usually the ones who suffer. Don't allow the adversary to control your heart. You will feel love, comfort, and peace if you can forgive and move on. And as you read, the Lord will get His vengeance as needed. You (and Dr B) are such inspirations to me and SO many. Thank you for sharing yourself and your wonderful little family with us. Sending a virtual hug and praying that you can feel the peace of forgiveness. Enjoy your beautiful weather. We are having thunder and lightening in a snowstorm in CA. I hope Dr B has a smooth trip home.

I really don’t know a lot about the Methodist religion, but as a follower of Jesus Christ, it is important to share our faith. I’m so glad to hear you share your faith.❤️We all struggle everyday with sin of one form or another…no one is perfect. In the Bible Paul talks about dying to ourselves every day. We are all a work in progress. I love your channel, I watch both you and Ken and have learned so much. Thank you for all that you both do to help people eat well.

One of my spiritual teachers told me forgiveness is more about releasing yourself from the toxic emotions rather than letting those that wronged you off the hook. But I know from personal experience that’s sometimes easier said than done. And no matter the spiritual path, we all struggle sometimes. You got this-time heals all😊

I have found myself willing to forgive but forgetting is extremely challenging. After all our brains are computers, easy to file it away but certain triggers pull up the file. I don't think that's possible for humans, for God mercifully, always. My hubs is a Preacher's Boy and our church was his Daddy's. Burned and left, don't trust "religion" just Jesus. I'll never return to "church". The Holy Spirit is enough for me. My whole family whom I actually live on the same property with are all dedicated Christians. They are congregationally committed we are not. We still love each other and don't preach to each other. Yes we are to forgive, but that doesn't mean you must make yourself a target for them...I stay away from people who are spiteful and hypocritical, while still loving them and praying for them. But I'm not gonna deliberately go there. I don't see anything in the Word that says we should.

@Fortescue Gimlet God is my reality. This is a broken world that is filled with the consequence of sin. We have sin in us too but Jesus blood covers it and provides an escape to an eternal place where there is no more pain. Because of Jesus sacrifice, we are able to join and connect our Holy God in heaven and here on Earth. God brings all things around for good, believe it or not.

Neisha, thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing your struggle. You were Holy Spirit led and you obeyed. It's so sad that within the body of Christ, we injure each other so horribly. It happens to us all - not easy. I recently started going back to church after taking a break - never broke from Faith in Jesus, He's too amazing to leave behind :) But recently being with a solid group of bible believers who share the love of Christ has been such a blessing to me. As we stay in the Word, we renew our minds and allow the Holy Spirit to work. I'm so very happy for you, I really am. May the Lord strengthen and continue to guide you and the family. Stay strong, my sista. - With love, a fellow believer and carnivore - Anna Maria

It did a wonderful job of keeping me on track, even though it did take me a little longer than a year to finish. I'm going to just keep listening to it over and over again for the rest of my life. Praying for a rich, spiritual lent for you and your beautiful family! Our family has been praying the rosary together every day for years, and it has brought so many blessings!

Every denomination of Christianity essentially believes and teaches "Jesus did His part. You gotta do yours to be saved." Nope. Jesus accomplished it all! No "part" for a person to "do" apart from BELIEVING The Gospel (i.e., Believing that Jesus Christ died for all YOUR sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd Day according to the Scriptures.) Just BELIEVE...That's all God requires to be saved! And the only "proof" of a person's salvation is that they have BELIEVED The Gospel. Justification (salvation) has always been and will always be solely on the basis of FAITH (belief, trust) in The Lamb Slain Before The Foundation of The World...and His Name is Jesus!!!!
@immaculate10
@immaculate10 Жыл бұрын
@777GJ I appreciate your comment and totally agree with you in saying that we need to believe, and Jesus has thoroughly redeemed us as a free gift. However, that free gift of salvation requires a response one way or another. Our belief should have an effect which influences our actions. I am a Bible believing Catholic, as all Catholics should be, so I prefer to base my belief on Matthew 16:27 - "For the Son of Man is to come with His angles in the glory of His Father, and then He will repay every man according to his works." Notice he does not say according to his belief. Also, John 3:36 tells me that, "he who does not obey the Son shall not see life." The verb in that verse is obey, not believe. It is my belief that compels me to obey. I can share with you many other verses on the subject, but suffice it to say, I have never come across a Bible verse that says all we need to do is believe. If you have found one, please share. I was a Protestant for 22 years and have been a Catholic for almost 30. I have thoroughly studied both sides of the argument. I encourage you to do the same before it is too late. This sweet lady's post is not the place to get into a debate on the subject, so I will leave it at this. Please do your homework and be thoroughly educated on both sides of the subject before you criticize another's faith.

It took decades for me to understand that Jesus paid the price for us all. If the Father loves us enough to forgive everything we do if we confess our sins, I must forgive others no matter how I feel about the matter. Easier said than done, I know. You will get there, Niesha. Everything I have been thru I now see as a life lesson from the Lord, good or bad there was something to be learned, only yook 63 years. You have a beautiful family and help so many on your channel, and on Doc Berrys channel, that in itself is serving the Lord in a very wonderful way. Have you helped people struggling with food addiction? Yes. Have you taught us to take care of our bodies so our anxiety gets better? Yes. I could go on. We all have been around religious know it alls and they can hurt us to the core. God has always dealt with it in His time. I too left the church system and would rather not partake in the drama. Or be a part of a church too involved in social justice to preach the bible and help the people in thier own backyard. You are such a good mom and wife. Keep loving Jesus and praying about your hurt, He knows your heart and will heal it.

Unforgivness, and holding grudges, is like taking poison and hoping the other person dies. When we don't forgive we allow those persons power over us, they essentially live rent free in heads, and it actually causes us harm while they go about their day, most likely not giving us a second thought. Forgiving them doesn't make what they did ok, it allows you to take back your life and not spend time and energy on those who don't deserve it. I learned this the hard way. Have a blessed day!

Great video. I’m not religious and don’t see a correlation between SAYING that you are “religious” or “Christian” and actually being a good person. I did go to 12 years of Catholic school and will say that I’m thankful for that upbringing in that time frame (post fire and brimstone). Being a good person doesn’t require faith, “Do Unto Others” isn’t unique to any one church or religion. This is what I taught my kids who were brought up without religion. They are good, thoughtful people. Take inspiration wherever you can find it! You are doing a great job as far as I can tell :) (Also, you just taught me the technique of rolling a lemon before you juice it, can’t believe I haven’t seen this before… love to learn new things!)

My husband started a job 3 years ago that keeps him out of state 5 days a week. Every schedule they have to offer prevents us from going to church and I can't go alone because of transportation limits. I think we go through these seasons to prove how sincere our faith is and to remind us that all things in this life are temporary. The only things we carry out of here with us are the love we give and the love we take. This has been the roughest 3 years I can remember but we hold onto hope for tomorrows. Thank you for being bold and courageous in sharing your testimony 🙏 ❤️

The Lords Prayer… I am truly blown away by the simplicity of it and how it seems all encompassing! Jesus really did give us everything we needed to navigate this world . When I say this prayer, I always stop and have to meditate on the “ forgive us our trespasses as WE forgive those who trespass against us” WOW … and then the words in the Lords last moments on the cross…”Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do “. It humbles me for sure, and I have to say that there is a gift so powerful in forgiveness it’s hard to explain that freedom in your spirit… that blessing… HE FIRST LOVED US❤️🙏🏼😎

Hang in there Neisha. Remember, you cannot change the wind, you only alter your sails. I follow the ancient ways. In my belief system, whatever I give out, comes back to me 3-fold. That is 27 times the degree of what I give out. That really made an impact on me. I don't want to set myself up for that much negativity coming back to me. We are all works in progress and we all fall short. You and Ken have helped and encouraged so many people in so many ways and areas. I appreciate you!

I've struggled alot too! I just lost my Mom in October to cancer. I've been watching yall for the last month and you both have inspired me to get healthy. Cancer is rampant in my family and I pray that making these lifestyle changes can inspire the rest of my family. God is using you, our health is important. If we aren't healthy we can't help other people to the best of our abilities.

Love hearing about your faith. ❤ Forgiveness can be so challenging. When we decide to do it, even though we do not feel it- in obedience, God blesses that and then we truly feel forgiveness. Growth is crucial, I’m so thankful you’re sharing yours with us! - Resa Grace

I love that you shared this aspect of your life. I commend you for pushing yourself to be more Christ like when it comes to forgiveness and anger. You’re coopering with His Grace and there is struggle in that, but that‘s life. I lost legal and primary physical custody of my 3 children (ages 15,13,10) last year because of a female judge who thought it was bad for my children that I was a stay at home mom and had a history of Homeschooling, not vaccinating and because I’m a conservative Christian. Through that devastating experience, Jesus showed me how to completely trust his plan and to not feed into anger or resentment. As my Christian therapist always reminds me, it’s like I’m Alice and the court and that judge is Wonderland and the Queen. He reminded me of my favorite story in scripture, Pilate and Jesus speaking privately before his scourging when Jesus is so calm. “Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?” Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.” I could choose to be angry at my ex and his girlfriend who were awarded custody, who are vaccinating them and put them in a progressive charter school teaching them identity politics and promoting a vegan diet but that would destroy my peace. He’s taught me through the grief that nothing is worth destroying my inner peace and relationship with Him. God bless you on your walk with the Lord and I’m so glad you found a church for your family and I pray you have a fruitful Lent.✝️

I am spiritual. And have had times of being treated terribly by fellow "spiritual" people. We also had a house fire and lost everything in 2017. People made up their own stories about it 🙈 2021 I lost my brother suddenly. And last year went through a horrible incident at the hands of a man. All this to say, it made me question all my spiritual beliefs. Made me question being a "good" person. I wanted revenge! Thank you for sharing this. Sending you and your beautiful family love 😘❤️

Thank you for your open and honest discussion of your faith and your struggle to forgive. I’m so sorry for the two fires you’ve been through, all you’ve lost, unkind comments,etc. from others (I can’t imagine) and the hurt that comes from unkind church people. That’s so hard and you have been so strong. You are an amazing woman and have helped me so much with these ketovore and BBBE challenges! Anyway, it is imperative to forgive. Not forgiving is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die! I admire your courage to trust God and go back to church! Praying God will lift all the anger and unforgiveness! You are on the right track! God bless and strengthen you! I really admire you and thank you for reaching out to help others!

Thank you for sharing. I also want to say that it's completely normal to have the struggles you are having. Doesn't mean you're a bad person or not a good Christian. It means you are human and are striving to be better. That's why we have the atonement, so that we can get past our sins and trials.

You are right nobody is perfect. I don't have a platform like you do but I feel the same way about sharing my faith. I feel like since I'm not perfect I wouldn't be a good example but all we have to do is point people to Jesus not ourselves.

Who is perfect? Not a single one of us. I’m so glad you are sharing this! I am so you and Dr. Ken had to go through all of that. It’s so devastating especially when people you care for let you down. In order for me to have forgiveness, I use this. It’s easier to forgive someone when I realize that’s who they are. They saying “tell me who you are and I’ll believe you “ comes to mind every time. I’ll be praying for God to give you strength and wisdom to give you peace in all of this.
