Please pray for me. This means so little to me now. I’m trying to have Godly sorrow over my sin but I’m worried. I don’t know why this story won’t inspire me. I don’t know why forgiveness hasn’t yielded more fruit- I need freedom and I keep choosing sin. And I need to grow up and move on from these things! Please pray. I have so little energy

Lord, will you lift up Josh as he struggles in his fight to battle sin. Will you reveal your face to him and uncover the sweet beauty of your sacred truth. Press these truths deeply into his heart so that he feels an earnest conviction to turn away from his sin and see you for who you are - our precious savior. Guide him to your Word Lord. Nourish is soul and give him the water that's wells up to eternal life. In Jesus holy name, I pray. Amen. Take it easy Josh. Someone once told me, try your best to read scripture daily, even when you don't want to, even when you're busy or struggling. God will see your efforts and will meet you there. It might not happen immediately, but he won't let you stay in the wilderness alone. Day by day. Take care.

Hey @Josh, our High Priest Christ Jesus understands our struggles, for He was also tempted as we are. He died for our sins and so that we would have the power to overcome. Invite Him to help you, He’ll meet you at your point of faith and weakness alike. May the lover of your soul reveal himself to you and lift you up from the waters that surround you. Blessings in Christ.

7:13 - Ahem. Transfer to follow 7:36 = Making the Pentecost lection one smooth uninterrupted piece. Transfer to 7:44 = a phenomenon unique to Georgian (not Greek) MSS, made when the Old Georgian text was revised and the revisors were attempting to conform the Georgian text to their Greek text. Transfer to 21:25 = a case of transfer from the usual location after 7:52 as stated explicitly by a note in family-one's chief representatives MSS 1 and 1582. Transfer to follow Luke 21:38 = placement influenced by the Menologion, as as to follow the lection for Sergius and Bacchus on the previous date of the year. If brother Piper does not know these things, then he is underinformed and his comments should be regarded as the comments of someone unaware of important aspects of the evidence. If he /does/ know these things, them he is deliberately hiding important aspects of the evidence from his listeners. Neither option builds much confidence that the preparation for this sermon was adequate.

Well to answer this, I was just drinking coffee and I took a drink and it was too big of a drink, and I choked on it and was coughing and had to spit it out. On the other hand I swallowed a little bit of it in the confusion.

Because in John 8:4-11 was not to condemn the woman. All men was condemned for this adultery but not the woman. Knowing the Law of Moses which is made of more than 600 laws and being intelligent reader you will see this verses making clearly that she was only abused by one of them to fulfil their plan to blame Jesus to romans that He has broken romans law assuming His right to judge and condemn the woman and doing that Jesus were condemned by romans when Jesus were saying that “she must be killed with stone OR Jesus were condemned by the Jews who were asking romans to condemn Jesus when He will broke the law of Moses about killing stones saying that she should not be killed with stone”. This is why in verse 7 Jesus instead of abolishing Moses’ killing stones, He mentioned the killing stone making clearly that YES, STONES… BUT in verse 7 using the word “FIRST” Jesus remembered them the law which was saying that because she is WOMAN they forgot to bring also her husband there to be the FIRST who cast a stone BUT when her husband throw away his stone then all other Jews must throws away their stones and even God forgive her since she received at first forgiveness from her owner(husband-head). Being intelligent reader in verse 4 knowing the law you were able to see already from the beginning that was all a planned scenario because in verse 4 is clearly to see them catching up also the man together with her and according with the law he were also there waiting to be killed with stones, but the abuser was among them surely having a stone in his hand waiting to kill the woman which he abused intentionally for their plan to condemn Jesus in any way. And so is clearly that Jesus was writing on sand all kind of Laws which they has broken one by one forcing their Jewish woman(sister). I give you to read once again, hopefully you will not read again apple to see pears. Jhn 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Jhn 8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? Jhn 8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. Jhn 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Jhn 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. Jhn 8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. Jhn 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? Jhn 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. In verse 11 the woman sinned only against the law which commanded her to be totally noisy, totally loud crying for help when she was abused BUT maybe the abuser was able to cover her mouth. And now the whole Christianity see these verses as helpful when have pleasure to do adultery. And reading the other story with Maria from Magdala(Magdalena) they are in confusion with this story and they dare to insult Jesus saying that already seven time He forgive her adultery. They are deluded readers to insult Jesus not being able to see that even this story make clearly that for adultery you did not received the first forgiven. But as deluded readers they see Jesus breaking seven times the same laws so that as lawbreaking Jesus will be a sinner in needs of a Saviour. In Matthew 16:9 Luke 8:2 is about seven kind of sins because seven times forgiveness from adultery were totally impossible to Jews and to Jesus to broke seven times the same many laws. How to forgive her adultery seven times when the Law NEVER allowed to exist FIRST forgiveness and Jesus said GO AND SIN NO MORE… For criminals existed judgments, forgiveness and even totally protection but for adultery even judgment NEVER existed but only killing with stones in the front of the two witness and in the front of all Jews gathered together on the gates of their families and then even their died body was dishonoured with fire to be made ashes in the front of them to be a lesson even for us since adultery is the most insulting sin against the fundamental Bible principle about Christ and His wife. Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 2Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

It's okay I have some really strange answers. Why don't you look at this in the context of jesus saying these things in action, working in someones life.. rather than simply saying them. Then you're confirming your faith.

You're speaking of extremely specific moments that only a few people were present to witness, thousands of years ago. You're asking for additional evidence that cannot exist. Unrivaled evidence does not mean that every single sentence is proven by secondary sources. It means that nothing else from so long ago can match the historical evidence that the bible has. It means that you would have to reject the entirety of ancient history before you could reasonably reject the bible on the same grounds.

Theologians are mistaken men with big egos and little gods..|My GOD meant every word the scribes wrote under the influence of the HOLY SPIRIT and taking any one out of the book results in your name being taken out of the book of life.
