?? The pinkie finger is a finger! That seems a bit odd to think of it as something different. Both "little finger" and "pinkie finger" are common terms, and "pinkie" is just short for "pinkie finger". I do get saying we have 8 fingers. I'd usually just say 10 unless I have a reason to not include the thumbs, but 8 is also a common answer. "Digits" are definitely both fingers and toes, but we don't use the word that much. I have heard that English is unusual for distinguishing fingers and toes and that most languages use the same word for both (or call toes something like "foot fingers"). I was thinking about how we don't really have names for the toes. "Big toe" and "little toe"/"pinkie toe" yes, "middle toe" would work, but the other two not so much. "second toe" and "forth toe" maybe? You don't 'index' with your toes, nor wear many rings on toes.
