@politicsreligionshow2 жыл бұрын
Just too much. There is an easier way. It doesn't take all this to get a similar result. The beautiful results we are seeing are a result of her DNA/GENES. At least 50% of her results is due to that NOT all this extra carrying on. LOL! I have similar hair in appearance but the DNA of my hair doing all this will have my hair totally dry and brittle. Especially these hair masks things. The one thing she is right about is CLARIFY strands. That is the foundation of healthy hair of ALL hair types. Clean those strands 1-2 per month. Tighter pattern likely once per month. So that's my opinion. Clarify, Deep Condition, and low manipulation styles with hydrating styling product. That's it--for Most Black Girls. I stopped watching these natural hair influencers who have ALL THESE steps but when you lift hood and kick the tires you see they have a naturally LOOSE TEXTURE that makes their hair more manageable and gorgeous when it's dry. They are the ones that can do a 9 day wash and go and it looks like they just got out of the shower. I'm sorry ladies that is GENES. NOT all these steps.
@VeraHannaford2 жыл бұрын
@@politicsreligionshow Totally agree. I'm a lazy natural for the most part. I normally wash my hair once a week, and deep condition and clarify every other week or when my hair's condition tells me to. When you know, you know. So my wash day is pretty much a wash 30 minutes or so. I wish my hair could look like hers after even one day. However, I'm still learning and trying to take better care of my hair, but water, low manipulation, a trim periodically, and being gentle overall definitely helps.

You can do the original Cherry Lola Treatment that only requires yogurt, liquid aminos, and baking soda. I've done just this on my 4a/4b hair and experienced the same results. Also, a clay mask is a detox. It removes heavy metals and deep dirt from strands and scalp. Clay masks should be done BEFORE you condition. To apply a clay mask AFTER you have deep conditioned is defeating the purpose. Just keep it simple, and your hair will flourish. Save the avocado and banana as added ingredients to BOOST your deep conditioner. 👌🏾
@keina21212 жыл бұрын
@@politicsreligionshow i respectfully disagree. I’ve been relaxers free for about 10 years and i tried it all. Deep conditioners, clarifying shampoos, protein treatments, pre-poos, steaming in deep conditioners…you name it I’ve tried it. About 9 years in i was ready to go back relaxed because there was nothing working that would help me get a decent wash and go. I tried this only no cherry Lola, i used a regular protein treatment, and it completely reset my hair. I did it once and have finally been able to wear wash and go’s going on a year now. Thank you love! To sum up the whole process it’s like doing a full hydrating facial. You wouldn’t put a face mask on dirty skin right? The face has to be clean for the skin to properly absorb the mask. To get maximum hydration there’s levels to it. Yes the clay mask can remove build up but not like a good clarifying shampoo and to get Proper hydration hair must be clean, then condition/strengthen then the clay mask does it’s thing defines the hair, seals the cuticles, removes any leftover buildup, adds shine, etc.

Thank you love, my hair is naturally high porosity- it will always be high it won’t change. The only way is if the hair was damaged or transitioning from a relaxer (or Wtv chemical treatment, heat damage, etc.) that is how high would be damaged then become low porosity when healthy.

High porosity comes from various things such as coloring hair, relaxers, rough combing/brushing/detangling/doing too much. Low to normal porosity comes naturally. You also have to make sure, if you're low porosity, is it natural or product and/or oil buildup that blocks water from moisturizing your hair

It’s all about the ingredients you’re using. That shampoo you have-I’m sure has a lot of ingredients that will cause the scalp to be inflamed, become more dry and itchy-especially the silicone in it doesn’t do anything besides clog your pores. It’s good to research ingredients in products before buying. Also essential oils/oils and fragrances can be damaging as well. I wouldn’t use acv prior to shampoo, that should be the last step after the conditioner. Try making your own deep conditioner (I have a bunch of recipes on my channel safe for a sensitive scalp like mine) the shampoo I showed in the video has done wonders for my scalp…it’s not cheap but worth it.

Why not try cold pressed neem oil, garlic juice or oil, tea tree essential oil or even black cumin seed oil on your scalp instead as a treatment instead of that medicated shampoo 🤔...And in place of your shampoo you can make diy black soap shampoo 🤔
@NekiCakes2 жыл бұрын
I use garlic in my hair juice. Neem/tea tree oil irritate my scalp and cause inflammation. The only oil I can do right now is hempseed, jbco and a few others. Black soap irritates my scalp as well. The medicated shampoo is necessary for my scalp.

@@NekiCakes Have you tried thyme tea or spritz from fresh or dried leaves; an ACV rinse as a scalp treatment; A fenugreek pre shampoo treatment on both scalp and hair, fresh aloe vera gel as a scalp treatment, a lemon rinse similar to how you would do an ACV rinse, nettle tea or spritz; black cumin seed oil or black seed oil as a scalp treatment before shampoo; a scalp treatment with aloe vera gel and neem powder; even a hair tea or spritz with black seeds; and a neem hair tea or spritz throughout the week. Also regularly oiling your scalp can help. Like try applying your regular ayurvedic oil to your scalp every day instead of 2-3 times a week. If you can get black seed oil aka black cumin seed oil or kalonji oil apply to scalp undiluted or diluted with your ayurvedic oil every day throughout the week. I also suffer from itchy scalp and dry scalp which is a milder form of dandruff. Also shampooing your hair weekly helps as well. A gentle clarifying shampoo should help as well. You can even mix aloe vera gel with fenugreek powder and use as a scalp treatment. I believe curry leaves are also good for dandruff. Mix 1 tbsp of the powder with enough aloe vera gel and use as a scalp treatment. Also using a pH balanced shampoo is so important to avoid scalp problems. How about making your own shampoo from liquid Castile soap instead. Buy the unscented and add your own fragrance as you seem to be sensitive to lots of oils😊

You don’t have to if you’re unable to find this ingredient. You can double up on the banana or just use 1

Is it terrible that I soaked in the onion juice waited an hr and a half then prepooed 🤭 with the aloe Vera? I didn't wash the onion juice out before prepooing with the aloe though.

I wish a botanical gel would have my hair extra define but they are all so weak and I never like the outcome. Uncle Funky’s and kinky curly gives me too much volume and it’s not a solid curl frizz free curl like how a non botanical gel would give me. And doing wash and gos and coating the hair, I’m not spending 15 and up and barely getting any uses out of a small jar🤷🏽♀️

I have done the MHM years ago and love it. But I keep clogging my pipes after rinsing out the clay...
@JustSomebodysMama2 жыл бұрын
Maybe you could rinse your hair over a large bowl or bucket with a pitcher of warm water to get most of the clay out and dump the clay water in your yard(or outside where there's dirt).
