We stayed up at my parents house followed by a trip to Duffs bait and tackle in salamander. With extensive knowledge i asked him about where i could take the kids just for some safe fun.
Duffs have large maps and fish species you are targeting identified on these maps. He will even show you how to rig a line and the best way to showcase your bait.
For a beginner like myself it was lots of fun just catching these little fish and releasing them. If you want to learn how to fish and also have some fun, take a visit to the shop and ask away.

Thanks mate. It was a great little trip away approx 3hrs from our house. I love catching up with my mum and dad and due to work, family commitments and the scare of covid we haven’t seen them a lot in this past 12 months. We really do get point there and that’s only one of a few times we have ever gone fishing. The beach is approx 200m from there house so we should use it more often. Noah is a fantastic driver and It didn’t seem that long ago when he was your sons age. Thanks for meeting my family I really appreciate it 😊

We really loved having you visit with us to our amazing corner of paradise, (we are now classed as locals as we have been here over 20 years, unbelievable how that time has flown) certainly a change from cooking for two people to eight! It was great to see the pristine waters of our beach, marina and surrounds showcased on such a beautiful day, our bay is home to over 80 pods of dolphins and holds more water than Sydney Harbour. Nice to know you bought my birthday card "locally" Ryan, that was funny seeing that part of your video! Yes it was also a great trick to "lose" your wallet in the car, (stocking up on more alcohol and Chemist stuff) but good old Dad came to the rescue again! Hope to see you all here again soon ....hugs from your favourite Mum xx

The Bay is such a beautiful spot and I’m sure you earnt your local status well before the 20years 😆😆 I wish we only had to walk 200m to be able to visit such an amazing beach and marina. Hopefully this year we can get more time to spend with you up there and eat all those oysters....I’m mean let’s face it we can certainly afford to eat them at that price. 😆😆

We were sad when they left as they have not been here for a year, although Jesse noticed we had changed the colour of the house back to the original colour.

The wooden floor boards will really look special Den. I think you might be in a winner with the fishing. Lots of videos get great support being a fisherman. Not sure if you noticed in this but Amanda was wearing a YBS dress and hunter has a YBS hat on. We have lots of his merch and try to support people we watch in some small way.
@TropicalZooms
@TropicalZooms 3 жыл бұрын
@@RyanIngleton Yeh. The timber floor is a job I`ve been putting off for ages, but its crunch time now. I actually love watching YBS. I should buy some merch too. That Brodie guy is a champion, so positive and energetic. What a massive channel too 2M Subs. I also watch another young guy called Chris Bamman (144k subs) who is a quiet achiever and also has great content. Both fishing camping channels. Also watched another young fella grow his channel really quick Aus Adventure. He had a few hundred more subs than my channel, and was making really great content vids. Seemed to go viral after one of his vids where he caught and cooked a giant mud crab. He said he went from around 700 Subs to a couple of thousand really quick. Really nice bloke too. This has made me stop and rethink about my channel. I think I`ve got too many neiches happening at once. Bikes, drones, hikes & surfing. All great hobbies but i`m thinking they should be all separate channels. I think viewers want to search and watch one thing. I`m thinking riders may not be interested in fishing, fisho`s may not be keen on watching rides. The same thought with my others. This is why I think i may focus on one hobby for YT, and I`ve noticed that boating/ fishing catch & cook with drone footage gets good views so I may give that a crack. I could be wrong (as I often am) but I just think narrowing down to one single neich is the thing I`ll try for a while and see how I go. I feel like my channel has kind of stalled lately. Problem is boating vids take a whole day compared to a quick drone flight or bike ride but I enjoy it. I`ll see how it goes.

They are Stair Masters. They master the stairs. Brekkie? I love that, I'm going to start saying that. Don't cross the streams! Something tells me that if you hadn't thought positively, you still would have caught those fish. Actually, I'm positive about this. LOL He sunk?! LOL He'll recover. I'm guessing you get your Bourbon from Kentucky? Did you know 90% of all the Bourbon from the world comes from Kentucky? I just learned that yesterday while doing the Truth Be Told game for our LIVE show. Oysters are great when they have been dowsed with seasoning and hot sauce. Thanks for taking us on your Day-trippin' Adventure! Soooo, Amanda is the one who caught the big fish. Now, that is the rest of the story! LOL ❤️👍👏 Donovan & Jodi

Late to the party 🎉 Looked like a very successful fishing expedition. You are a lucky man to still have your folks around. They seem like very nice people. Honestly if everyone didn't have an accent I would have thought you were in California 😜 As far as an incident goes where I made it out ahead. I cashed a check at the bank one time and got a couple hundred extra. Then I went straight to Reno and gambled and drank it all. 🤣😂🤣 just kidding I immediately went back in the bank and told the teller what had happened. You know I couldn't steal. Anyways another fantastic vlog my friend, sorry I was so late to watch it, but it looks like it's doing really well. I also like to fish, but not in the winter. Hope you have a great work week take care 👍

That’s hilarious Jeremy 😆😆😆 I once went in for a bank loan for $550k to do a development and they made a mistake and put the money straight into my personal account. A week went by and I rang them and said do you know that you have just gifted me the money.......they went straight into panic mode and locked me out of that account for 3 weeks while they fixed the issue. Pain in the bum as I had zero access to any of my funds then. Never sweat being late mate I just enjoy posting and I know how hard it is with work commitments that’s for sure. 😊

Great to see your parents, Ryan and even Noah driving! And ... oh, looking at the sea I felt like taking a dip !! How I miss summer and the sea .... WOW! Big fishermen out there, I see! You have caught different types of fish. Well done! As for oysters ... I just don't love them at all ... My husband loves them instead! Thanks for this fun and enjoyable vlog. Keep it up, I really like them! Enjoy the summer, the sun and the heat. Here we are in winter and Covid does not abandon us ... A big hug with much affection to all of you. MUCH LOVE from me! Renata

Thank you So Much Renata for your beautiful comment as always. The water is beautiful and clear up in Nelson Bay and it’s approx 3hrs from where I live in Sydney. Mum and dad have been there since 1998 and retired from work. My dad is 78 this year and my mum isn’t far behind. They love there little spot and it’s only 200m from their house to the beach. It’s the first time we have ever fished in this location as I used to take my boat up there and Moore it in the marina. From there the boys would try having a fish and a swim in one of the beaches nearby. I do like the oysters but Amanda is like yourself and has no desire to eat them 😆 We hear on the news every few days how bad it is over there and in the uk it’s just horrible. In Perth Australia they have just had 4 cases so the entire state has gone into full lock down. Other states have also closed their borders with them. It’s a real shame we both can’t share the hot weather all the time. I’m not a fan of cold nights where the sun goes down at 5pm. Makes life just fly right past us. Stay safe Renata and thank you as always 😘

There are lots of dolphins around nelson bay. You can go on cruises and watch them as well. If you have your own boat they come up to you and swim around. Really cool.

Yeah I'd love to live there - you get paid to buy oysters!😆 Btw, when you got to you parent's house and almost driving into the wrong garage reminded me of of a comedy sketch from Jasper Carrott - sorry it's a slow start but he does need to explain it a bit at the beginning: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqG0e5aga86IgcU

hahahha, i get it mate poor Noah Forgot. Its a lovely spot to live and we really do enjoy the time we spend together whenever we get to visit. Work and family make it hard to travel the 3 hours often. Hopefully ill get more time sooner rather than later. I'm going to check this sketch out and see how it goes. Looks like its had a massive following :)))
