Just watched the documentary on Netflix about memory competitions, and I found you through that film! Thanks for the tips on remembering faces. I have a feeling I'll remember these bulldogs' faces for a long time haha

Just wonderful, I have been researching "how do i remember peoples names better than two" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Piyoren Incredible Prepotence - (do a search on google ) ? It is a good one off guide for discovering how to boost your memory power without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my brother in law got excellent success with it.

Nicely done - thanks for sharing your insights in a fun and high-quality way! Good job on the video post-production (showing your memory associations and offering us a review). Look forward to following your informative and fun channel! Thank you.

*There is one way to not to use step 5(review). it's called the synesthesia. If you don't know what it is, then try to read the book "The Mind of a Mnemonist: A Little Book about a Vast Memory". It's the book about the man(he is mnemonist) who could memorize his association for a reaaaally long time like 15 years after only one memorization" cause he had a good congenital synesthesia. So the answer is to improve your synesthesia skills.*

Love the videos Nelson. Do you or anyone else out there have a good place to find a list of images for names? I found a couple small lists, but haven't found any large lists of images for names out there. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm so glad I found you, and I'm looking forward to learning and passing your youtube channel and website on to others. I would like to say, respectfully,....that the loud, busy background music is extremely distracting. I had to strain to focus on what you were saying with that going on.

When the music stopped at 5:10, it was such a relief! I could actually concentrate. It's such great content...I don't want to be distracted. Thanks for all you do.

I agree, I had a hard time focusing on the task. The music should be barely noticeable.

Leah going up for a slam dunk with the Jordan tongue. Brian with the brown ear white face like the Brown haired preppy athletic Brian I play b ball with and against. Phllip. I know a tall skinny Phillips so picture him with a goatee. I typically put new meets in a visualized drawer of people I knew of growing up with same name. My new friend is Native American but looks like a One Direction Mexican guy whose name would be Angel or Felipe but his name is Derrick so I put him in a drawer with a running back from High School even though they are nothing alike.

Everyday life is so loud and fast, thereby making it difficult to remember names and faces. That’s why your videos are so fast and loud? 😂

I know this is old vid BUT... Just the other day you yourself couldn't remember a name of a competitor ? It seems this is too cumbersome to do on the fly in reality then right? or ? ...I'm sorry I'm not trying to pick on you brother I'm genuinely very interested in all things memory but I was bummed when I heard you admit you didn't recall a name.. I'm thinking .. OK then.. So does this stuff work or not? If you have to actively remember to engage memory techniques.. well then.. some of us need a way to remember to remember the memory techniques lol.. ugh.. Any way sorta funny and yes Im being a bit comical in my last sentence loll .. but in all seriousness isn't there some way to shorten these techniques and make them a part of every single interaction you ever have so you ALWAYS remember?
@NelsonDellis4 жыл бұрын
So, thanks for bringing this up. Nowhere have I ever said I remember every single name I've ever encountered. I still forget. A lot. But a lot less than I would without my trained memory. That being said, if I wanted to, I could remember even better if I was always using my techniques. But I don't, because sometimes I like to just shut off (since I train so much for competitions). As for whether these techniques work or not. I vehemently will say yes. I'm proof. And there are hundreds of others that are proof. But the best you can do is try it for yourself and see if it works for you. I suspect it will.

@@NelsonDellis Yeah that's cool I never expected you to remember "everything" eh! It struck me as odd because of the circumstances... I think you said it was one of the competitors names that you had not recalled. I guess I would expect you to have it engaged for the names of the competitors albeit unnecessary. I can see now where that would be a little over the top to constantly be in record mode. I've watched a ton of vids since i even made this comment so I totally get it and I really appreciate your videos man they are great! I really wasn't trying to put you on the hot seat or anything just genuine questions! I have been thinking so deeply about this it's crazy! I have been staring at the playing cards afraid to even begin the process for fear that in the future I wish I had started with different images etc etc..Any huge piece of advice on choosing your card pics and how they may or may not impact perhaps your 00-99 or your 000-999 ? Also should i just go straight to my 00-99 and then use those for playing cards also or no? Do you see my dilemma here? The more I thought about it the harder it was for me to commit if that makes any sense!!! HEEELP lol!
