Get a FREE memory gift and learn about my Black Belt Memory course here: memorycourse.brainathlete.com...
Remembering names and faces is a skill that can lead anyone to success. Dale Carnegie in his book, 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' wrote that everyone's favorite subject is themselves and the sweetest sound to their ear is their own name. When you can remember names and face it will make a big difference in building relationships and connecting with people. This system shows you how to remember names.
The key to learning how to remember names is to follow my 5 step process
1. Focus your brain. When walking towards the person ask yourself, 'What is their name?' This will focus your brain
2. Select an outstanding feature on their face (big eyes, beard, scar, etc)
3. Create a picture for their name (Brian = brain, Lisa = Mona Lisa, etc). Get my pictures for names at link above. This is a big step in learning how to remember names
4. Imagine the picture for their name on the outstanding feature of their face with action and emotion
5. Review, review, review. Ask yourself, 'Who did I meet today?'
This is the same process to remember names as in wiki: www.wikihow.com/Memorize-Names...
If you follow these 5 steps in learning how to remember names you will be amazed at how many names you can remember. I have memorized as many as 301 names at a conference and at the USA Memory Championship I memorized 128 names in 15 minutes using this system.

This is glorious, I have been researching "remember names naturally thank you" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Piyoren Incredible Prepotence - (just google it ) ? It is an awesome exclusive guide for discovering how to boost your memory power minus the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my work buddy got amazing results with it.

1. Focus :- listen carefully to them when they are saying their names . 2. File:- use their unique features to build a file ex. Big ear . Beard..etc 3. Picture:- give the name a picture to remember it Ex. Stive = stove [ now forever stive is a stove] 4. Action :- imagine the picture and their distinguishing features and make a little story 5. Review :- get your self to the habit of reviewing all names you hear everyday *Ask your self who did I meet today??*

I have a similar method, when I was a nurse student and needed to memorize anatomy parts I would give them names that reminded me of something, like the radial bone I would think of the radio, humerus bone i would think of Homer Simpson and so on, this method never failed me 🤷🏽‍♀️

LOL. I was an average grade nursing student in school, but on my state board tests I scored highest in our state of NC that year. The only reason I did that is I made up songs & rhymes to remember drugs & their effects, anatomy parts, etc etc, while also using visualization with them. I laughed a lot during the exam. It also helped that I was relaxed because I had decided to quit nursing. LOL. Of course I soon came back to the profession, but during the exam, I wasn't stressed like my other nursing friends were.

@@joycehandersonfriends3225 that’s is so smart 🤣🤣, I mean we all have different ways of learning, so whatever method works for you it works 🤣. I thought I was an average student too, but with my weird methods I actually ended up being the best in my class so weird, I always thought I had such a bad memory so I made sure to find other ways to make it work and it sure did. 🤣

Ron man! So here's a progress report. Found this video just over 3 weeks ago Jul 2016. I put it into practice immediately, knowing I had social events coming up; three to be exact. First time, I applied it, learned about 5 names. Second time, I was noticeably getting better. Last, (yesterday) I made a good impression when I recalled people's names so accurately. And I have managed to increase the amount of names I memorized per event. This stuff works well for me together with some of my personal touch cues. Bonus, good way to impress girls. Thanks for the video and the free 50 common names. ( I'm a former Marine relevant to other videos you have for future comment feed back.)

At a glance I would think this wouldn't work due to adding so many steps to it. However, if I think back to random people through life who I've met only once and still remember their name to this day, it's a very detailed situation/scenario that I recall which is somewhat identical to using this process to mimic just that. Great stuff!

It's been hard, it does steel some of the presence away from the person I’m talking to - initially - now when the brain has to work like heck to go through the process. But I can definitely feel that it's starting to pay off, and my name list is starting to grow... Can't imagine how long yours is! Cheeky trick I heard from someone I knew at a church. He said if he forgot someones name he'd say "What was your name again?" They'd reply with their FIRST name, and he'd then say "no no...I of course know THAT. I meant your last name". haha little cheeky but less offensive than seeming like you've forgotten their first name. He wasn't the pastor though.

Great advice. There are two other techniques that I like to use that work well for me. The first is to think of a celebrity or a well-known character with the same first name. So if I meet a Jason, I imagine him doing some cool action stunt like Jason Statham, or I'll imagine him as Jason Voorhees chasing me. The other thing I do is think of songs with the person's name. If I meet a Caroline I think, "sweeeeet Caroline, bah bah bah". If I meet an Angela/Angie I think, "Angie, Angie, when will those clouds disappear". Of course I won't always be able to think of a celebrity/song, but when I do it's foolproof.

This was really good, thank you. I'm going to practice this and if I remember I'll check back and leave a comment about it. I am very bad at giving focus and attention to remembering someone's name, I'm too focused on interpersonal things and other social things happening that I just forget. We have 3 staff from Vietnam visiting our office, and their names are very similar and I have never heard them before, and this has been especially hard for me :(
