Looks so good! I'm going to have to try this recipe. Is the pork liver a must? And what flavor and texture does it add to the sauce? Thanks

You don’t have to use pork liver, but the original authentic recipe has it. The liver does make a difference in taste and uniqueness though. It adds a more hearty flavor. Similar to Pâté in Bánh Mì. :)

You can do without liver. This is just the authentic original recipe. The restaurant in the states don’t put liver on there. Just ground pork.
