NEMO Tensor EXTREME CONDITIONS Sleep Pad - First Look

I'm really curious how this compares to the Therm-a-rest neo Xtherm

The X-Therm NXT is electric with beautiful sparks when you put away your sleeping bag. Its wide version is very wide & insulated all across. It is rather noisy & quite firm if you like a more structurally stable pad, where the Nemo, Klymit, Sea to Summit & others have that more plush bed. The stable of the X Therm is nice in a hammock. I might take the Nemo on the ground, but I never have had a nemo pad.

Hopefully it's more reliable than the UL. I couldn't go with the Tensor because of the fairly high % of people saying it deflated on them. Could chalk it up to the user, but when it's like 25% of reviews I've seen....That's pretty high.

The original Tensor is made from very thin material which means it is lightweight but it has to be handled with care. The Extreme has double the thickness on the bottom so should be much more robust.

Justin Outdoors was saying they saved some weight by eliminating the welds of layers in-between with trapezoidal vertical pillars, but that also means u can't use the pad bottom up, as the layers fall down & get compacted...unless that's what u want??? Sleeping too warm? And they changed the material from nylon to polyester, or something, maybe the other way around?

Idk, I was able to roll up my tensor extreme just fine. Maybe it's a stuff sack defect?
