I remember when I used to sleep over at my great-grandfathers, he used to have an old record player, bearing in mind this is a man who was born in the late 1800s, that he'd had for years. He would fall to sleep listening to it and I used to sneak out of bed and go to sleep next to him on the couch, listening to stuff like this. I wish he were still here, I miss those quiet evenings. No worries, no hassle, just peace, gentle music and a friendly face to share it with

Similar for me too. My grandpa would listen to this and old artists like Elvis and Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra too. He’d play his radio kind of loud. When I was little I could hear it down the hall in my grandmas room. They slept apart cause my grandpa snored like a lawn mower hahaha but I’d sleep in the guest room at night when I was living there as a teen. It always made me smile. It helped me sleep too with all the stress going on. They kept me safe. I miss my grandpa so much. It’s been 7 years now without him and it still feels like it happened 6 months ago. Life will never be the same without him. I wish he would have been able to be here to meet his great babies tho.

The muffled, LoFi audio is great. It lets your brain relax without following words and lyrics in songs. Perfect. Thanks!

Thank you for this. As with most of the others here, as a kid I would hear muffled music from the living room as I dozed off. So peaceful. Bless you.

Has anyoen figured out why oldies somehow sound better when played in the other room? Also, thanks to the creator for not adding anything else, I sometimes find with all the rain and thunder, it can be a little much

Old analog recordings tend to be "warmer" and having it played "in another room" softens an already soft sound

Most people had cheap radios. This is what they sounded like out in the country with bad radio reception

Wow… I just remembered when I was a little kid and I would have sleepovers at my grandparents house. They’d always stay up later than me, watching old black and white movies downstairs, and they’d have the volume turned way up so they could hear it. It was really soothing hearing the old music and muffled dialogue. I almost wish I could go back in time for one more sleepover.

Thank you so much. This just made my day for Easter Sunday! (I am one of the highly-sensitive hears that has troubles with strong rain/storm/vehicles/waves noises, therefore I am very grateful for this one)

Seeing how warm and cosy the characters look in the video makes me feel warm and cosy. This helps me get to sleep so well. There’s something comforting listening to “oldies music” one of my favourites is “Singin in the Rain” by Mint Royale 🥰 Great video as always ♥️
