So I think there were 6 Nemu before this one was made and lived through everything since Ichigo showed up. She’s essentially become the most self-aware and mature/fully realized of all the Nemus due to living through so many large scale events in such a short time (Ichigo invading Soul Society, Arrancar Arc, and now the Blood War). And he’s lamenting that he’ll have to take so much time developing the next Nemu (Number 8) into someone to surpass THIS Nemu, OUR Nemu. Basically, next Nemu is gonna have big shoes to fill, and Mayuri’s miffed he’ll have to spend a lotta time and resources to help her grow better than this one

The reason HITSUGAYA has that fit on is Giselle (zombie sternritter) when HITSUGAYA defeated cang du the one whole ste his bankai and fought him during c2 starting, HITSUGAYA got exhausted and got unconscious, then Giselle took him and made him zombie (probably that time he dressed him like a Quincy)

You didn't pay attention or forgot. Quincys need to be dead to turn into zombies, shinigami only need giselles blood on them in order to turn. You saw it in the first invasion, when the soldiers slashed giselle and he told them to sepukku after they turned into Zombies. He needed to kill Bambi for her to turn Into a zombie. Hitsugaya and Matsumoto werent dead.

I can't rag our friend Jett Kennedy too much for forgetting the details of how Zombie Hitsugaya introduced one of Hitsugaya's best fits. Not only is the War arc anime split into cours, the War itself is super chaotic. Even the manga readers need a refresher once in a while. But yeah, Nemu is like a faux-daughter to Mayuri. Not that he's dad of the year, he's a total scumbag to her, but as the story went, he began to soften up and care a bit more about her. The final scene of him wanting to show Urahara the fruits of his research alongside her is very beautiful and shows the trademark Shinigami pride that even he ended up having in her.
