In my own video on this I completely removed those three traces by peeling them right off the board with tweezers. Used the same game to test/demo the jailbars too. ;)

Thanks so much for this fix! I can confirm it also works on a JP NTSC console, as that test point section is also completely unpopulated.

Amazing. it would be great if you could do this in depth research for famicom too. all composite mods for Famicom have vertical lines as does this neo geo. and I think many people would find your video very useful, especially me

Sure thing. Any particular revision of Famicom? Do the NES suffer the same?

@@RetroSix NES doesn't suffer the same. it already have composite integrated in the console and is perfect. famicom have only rf output and need a mod for composite signal out but when i do it, no matter what i do, any revision have jailbars. it can be improved if i put a big filtering cap in the 5 volt line of the console such as 400uf -ish but noting major. and i really want to know where is the problem.

Does this mod work with the NTSC consoles or the PAL model only? Ive a japanese 3-6 revision and i wanna keep the composite (even though i only use the RGB). Thanks

You would have to show me the top left area where that circuit is in the video I say is blank. If it's populated we would have to rewire new wires to that area. Jump on discord.gg/RetroSix and share images

Whats that stuff on the removed traces? If its not a sealent i would highly recommand that. Else the corosion will happen pretty shure the next 15 years.

The exposed ends are no different than every exposed via, solder pad or edge connector. It will be fine
