Bought some neocolour2 only two days ago and in much the same palette you've used. I love seeing you dabble with your fingers sometimes to correct the blending. That would be me as well

Well I didn't accomplish any new coloring skills today as I had hoped. instead I danced around in my living room for 20 minutes to the steps I learned from The Nutcracker. Tonight I will mute it. Lol !!!

What a blessing to remember Katrine, and what a blessing you are too, I totally forgot about doing a background using this method. Yours is so beautiful, as everything you do is either beautiful, gorgeous, or stunning, and sometimes it’s all them! Well I. Sure you know what background I will be doing next lol. Thank you so much Karen, I sure hope you feel better very soon, it hurts my hurt knowing you don’t feel well. Always, Keni 💖💕

I love this! So pretty. Literally just brought my first set of 60 polychromas as I dont get to colour very much when uni is on but can instantly see the difference they make, but want something like those for the background as I love the soft and blended effect it gives. Thanks for sharing, I'm now going to have to go order some 😁

So pretty! I love the Neo colors and the inktense ! They are definitely on my wishlist. I would love to see you color the rest of the picture on video. I love watching you and have learned a great deal from you! Thank you so much for your videos/tutorials!

Beautiful work. I have a question though. Have you ever thought of flashing your colour names on the lower left side of your screen. It would be so helpful to your followers. Most colorists who have a channel do this.

I hope you feel better soon Karen. I learned a lot from this video. Predominantly to use my finger to move the crayon after it’s wet. I’ve been struggling with my Neocolors and so I haven’t used them much. Now I will break them out and try again! 😀

Please do not take this in anyway as a criticism, but how are Neocolors II or any of the other water soluble crayon type materials (like FC Gelatos) better than using just regular watercolors for a background?
@ZucchiniKitty2 жыл бұрын
Better no, fun to use yes.... I like to use different mediums as I am not as well versed in watercolors....

Beautiful!! Thank you for your videos, I always learn something new. You show techniques that I would not have thought of on my own. I was wondering if other water color pencils would work just as well with the splatter technique? I can't wait to try it but that will have to wait until this evening when I am home from work. Your videos make my love of coloring grow even stronger, Thank you! Kim

Miss Karen people would have something to say if you was giving away gold every video. I always use my head phones I'm deaf, I can hear you fine. Some videos you need headphones. It is the difference in microphones. Don't let ppl bother you. You are magnificent
@sahdogwrangler55945 жыл бұрын
I'm not trying to be negative as usually if there's something that really bothers me about a KZbin video, I just move on. One person just can't please everyone! That said, I have no hearing issues but can't hear &/or understand Karen when she speaks so I put the captions on. I have to do the same thing when watching an Australian tv series that I love. There are some KZbinrs I don't watch at all because they never speak & I have found the music they like to use, while peaceful to some, I find annoying. It's not that person's fault nor is it Karen for the way she speaks. I'm not putting anyone down, just my opinion.

is there a finished page somewhere for this tutorial? i am trying to gauge how the neocolors actually look with colored pencil. like, is the opposite page background also colored in this method? i bought about 45 crayons to use as backgrounds and now i'm nervous it won't look good with my coloring! i really love your effect!

New viewer here...what is the purpose of dabbing with your fingertip?
@ZucchiniKitty4 жыл бұрын
Welcome, I use my finger to dab the lines away, sometimes the brush will leave streaks when activating the Neocolor II's, I like a smoother look, so I dab to remove the heavy lines and smush the color around.

The one thing I like about colored pencils more than other types of media is its neatness, precision, and beauty. This, well this is completely the opposite. I find myself wanting to clean up all of your mistakes. It leaves me feeling very unsettled!! Sorry. I also think that if you had taken a little more time, I sure it would have come out so much better.

Hi Karen, do you need to use a fixative on the neocolors?
@ZucchiniKitty5 жыл бұрын
Hi Carol, no once you have activated the neocolor II's they are set. This is what I have been told. I just started using these. But I understand that these do not need a fixative.

@@grannysharp772 You might want to pick a page like in the back of the book or one you don't like as much as the rest and really use your products *more than you would do normally, just to see how much water or product you can use without causing any problems. I do this in every book, all paper is different and they same thing I can use in one book, does not work the same in an other book. I so love the paper in Hanna Kalzon's book for just about everything... (alcohol markers will bleed through so don't use those)

ZucchiniKitty Nah. It’s easier just to ask you so I don’t ruin any pic. LOL Thanks!
