Neolamprologus Leleupi Update

In this video we are taking a look at what has been happening with the Neolamprologus Leleupi's.
After putting them in their new tank, two of the females very quickly spawned, leading to two batches of fry. Now that the fry are that little bit bigger, I can now add more rock cover to the tank.

They are nice I like them, quick question for you why do never fill the tanks up higher ?? great vid and nice tank when it was finished and a good amount of new fry as well

Thank you. I don't fill the tanks all the way to the top as I don't run lids on my tanks, so I allow the fish jump room just in case, so far it's worked and I also like to be able to see the fish feeding from the surface of the water as well when they do. The fish room is starting to get up and running now where fry is concerned. Thank you for watching xx

Great video Vicky. Question, do the fry tend to bury themselves just under the surface of the sand (substrate), or fo the just take refuge hiding among the rocks?

Thank you, The fry stay low to the substrate, they are light in colour to naturally camouflage into the sand, also staying close and moving amongst the rocks helps them from being eaten on from predators in the wild while they are small. Thanks for watching xx
