Just went through a long project with the car. New boss 342 motor, K-member, coil overs, radiator, electric fan from a Mercedes, cadillac brakes waiting next. I sumped the tank with 2 10an fittings. One fitting is capped for now, the other has a 380lph running down to a 8an Y'ed to an in tank Stealth 340. The feed runs to the fuel rail via a -8 and returns via a -6. As of now I'm just powering the 340 pushing 42lb injectors. Terminator X, 80lb injectors, and 76mm Turbonetics waiting to go in. I will wire the sumped 380 for boost referenced activation along with the methanol. You asked to share, there you go. Thanks for showing your sytem and explaining your thoughts.

Do you think I need to do that wiring thing on my fuel pump with the bigger gauge wire? I have a 306 with Edelbrock Performer heads with 202 valves they are porter and polished, 1.7 Svo roller rockers, F303 Cam, Trickflow street intake,BBK 75mm Throttle body, Deka 80lb injectors, automotive 340 fuel pump, Kirban FPR, On3 turbo kit, Terminator X. I have the Aeromotive 11540 Fuel Pump (340 Series Stealth In-Tank) which I’ve not installed my fuel system or Turbo yet. I also have some edlerbrock fuel rails but decided not to use them unless you think it’s a good idea? I’m getting ready to watch your other fuel video right now. Figured I’d ask on this one since it’s fresh. Thanks

Good job on showing your setup. When I went to carb I put a holley black pump where the factory fuel filter bracket sits with 1/2 feed line and I try using the factory 5/16 feed for a return. But I keep getting pressure creep so I went back to the factory fuel hat with a bigger pump and a 1/2 return and that fixed my fuel pressure creep and then sold the car. I’ve been toying around with the idea of getting another foxbody to put stroker 351 in but it will be strictly a 1/8 track car if I do it.to hope my son get interest in it. Especially having to help him pay car insurance for a teenage boy

On the 410 I'm running the 255lph with stock feed and return lines. I do have the super vic specific rails with push loc hose and aeromotive fpr. Motorsport 47lb injectors. It all works great. Now when boost comes to town I'm not sure if I want to do twin 340's or a large single pump. Maybe 96lb injector range as well. Maybe bigger. She's gonna be thirsty so I wanna upgrade it just once

Keep in mind when comparing/contrasting fuel systems, running a meth kit skews the results, since meth is sort of a fuel and it seems most everyone with boost is running it now a days.
@Neomustangs2 жыл бұрын
Ya meth wasnt mentioned because it isn’t used much anymore. I mean there’s a lot of things extra I coulda said ya know
@saleen88-0492 жыл бұрын
Back in the day, you ran regular braided lines and fuel vapors seeped through making your garage smell like a gas station. Vortech’s T-Rex pump kit was the OG of the pump wiring, big wire with a relay. One tip with big fuel pumps, never let the tank go below 1/4 to 1/2 tank, the fuel gets way too hot circulating and eventually kills your pump (ask me how I know).
@Neomustangs2 жыл бұрын
Good point
@slowfox892 жыл бұрын
Also you don't want to go below 1/4 tank because all my fox fuel senders were liars half the time. Lol

Really appreciate your videos. I would like to add one tip on stock fuel rails. After sitting on the sidelines for about a decade I bought a car already set up with an On3 kit and stock rails. It had some bugs to work out which took me a few weeks and the car was awsome. I got about 300 miles out of it when I took a friend for a ride and just after lifting in 4th we had fire from under the hood that was bad enough to total the car but not bad enough to buy back from insurance (very lucky) and salvage it. My initial inspection had me thinking that the fuel pressure gauge blew out and sprayed fuel on the hot side. Acutally what I am 99% happened is that the factory fuel crossover tube connection behind the intake gave out and that was the initial failure. Age of the line and maybe 10% ethanol fuel in my area plus the high pressure equalled a bad mix of things to go wrong. My advice would be to ditch stock rails for good aftermarket ones.

Eh I get it but they still work

I havent had a failure on the fox yett. But 1999 to 2004 ive had the crossover section near the fire wall fail. Also old o rings on my injectors failed everywhere this year. My 02 honda cbr 954, my 2001 saleen, my 1991 fox body. Plus all the rust in my other mustangs tanks. Its been a bunch of maintenance this past year.

I've maxed out my Aeromotive 340 at the psi I'm running. I'm still on the stock fuel lines and a stock return system. I've upgraded the wiring so I'm good there, but in the spring I'll be upgrading to the Hellcat pump. I have it in the garage, but will find a warm day to get it installed. The pump itself is good for over 800 hp, and the stock lines are said to be good for 650hp. Both of which are more than my stock block will see. It's still a somewhat low key fuel mod that I don't see often, but it's such a simple way to supply extra fuel without having to change lines, rails, boost a pump, e.t.c. Low electrical draw, and massive boost in LPH.
@Neomustangs2 жыл бұрын
Simple Amps = fuel if you can get that pump max voltage you can it'll move some liquid.
@pimpovic22 жыл бұрын
@@Neomustangs true, I just worry about longevity of the pump when you increase amps. You create heat for the pump and create heat in the tank.
@saleen88-0492 жыл бұрын
You will have a heck of a time trying to regulate your pressure with the stock Fox lines (5/16 & 1/4”) and a 500+LPH pump. Go with at least a 3/8” line front to back (still might be too small for that pump).

@@Neomustangs You were able to run a crazy pump with 13v with stock Fox lines and rails and able to regulate the pressure down to 32 psi? If so, that’s more of the exception than rule. Rock on!
