'Man's got to know his limitations.' God, I love that quote. Harry knows where the system stops and justice has to start...he doesn't blow away criminals unless they give him a reason to. That's why he's the toughest anti-hero in action cinema!

if you think about it, all th clint movies from the 60's and 70's were summed up i that line. the westerns, the cop movies, etc, were all about how he pitted his own ability against the strengths or weakness of a foe. he knew what he could do...and couldnt. he knew what his opponent could do...and couldnt, but they had ego that blinded them, and he was realistic and practical, and that was his advantage.

That's because he's an actor and there's no real peril, so it was very easy for Eastwood. It's a silly scene, in reality the police chief would've shot harry dead. There's no way he'd allow harry blabbing before a jury, once the secret was out, even if Harry was found guilty, the chief would never get away with forming another execution squad.

@@calibrazxr750 I think we all know that. its a typology. The issues facing the character and the need for his world view understanding are relevant today more so than even what was portrayed by the movie. Buy me Skittles. Yeah until poor lib-tards complained. Like that scene in Magnum Force, when his exotic Asian fantasy neighbor, Sunny, asks him what does she have to do to go to bed with him. According to a story about him - Asian ladies are STILL having sexy fantasies about his scenes with Sunny, much to feminists distain.🤔😁😉

@@ImYourHuckleberry_29 Just an observation. Out of all of his movies, my favorite is Two Mules For Sister Sara. This one is not even known to many of his fans. I am not a big Shirley Mc Claine fan but she works well with Clint. I think one of the reasons I like it so much is because it is one of the few times his character gets played and he has no idea I until she tells him.
