Nepal Research and Education Network and the Imja Tsho Lake Sensor Network

Gaurab Raj Upadhaya, founding Technical Director and Architect for the Nepal Research and Education Network (NREN), discusses the buildout of a sensor network using wireless technology from a high-altitude glacial lake. The research team comprised network engineers from NREN and regional researchers from the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development and based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
