As a Non-Mormon, Christian, I want to say that I greatly appreciate the work and effort that has gone into these quality videos. I have taken it upon myself to also study the Book of Mormon as I watch. I'm finding them to be accurate, well made representations of the book itself. Well done my Mormon Brothers and Sisters, very well done.

I'm just in awe by how the film crew and it's actors have been lead by the Spirit to create this Book of Mormon video series! There is a humanness to each of the characters in showing their weaknesses and strengths that we all can relate to at certain points in our lives. I look forward to viewing the rest of the BOM in it's entirety. Deepest thanks and outstanding job to all those who have worked hard in bringing this to the Lord's children!!!

It's very rare for an LDS Saint to read this far into the Book of Mormon. I wonder how many non-LDS have read this far? But once you do, it's then hard to put the book down! Most people who I know who have read the entire book, did so in one reading! It's rare to meet somebody who completed it by reading here a little, and there a little. I think most LDS Saints have probably studied a lot of it, albeit not cover to cover, rather just piece meal. And yet, the power of the book is so great that even if all you get is one verse, can completely change your life for the better. Anyone who wants a better life should memorize a few verses and recite them everyday. Here's one of my favorites: "If a man asks God with real intent, God will answer him, revealing the Book of Mormon is true." And of course, the verse by Nephi in this video: "The Lord will never give a commandment unless He prepares a way for men to accomplish it." But of course I have hundreds of favorite verses, and a hundred more from the other record that was kept by those in Asia, even the Brass Plates. Or what Europeans and Americans refer to as the Bible albeit the Bible only has 60 or so of the hundreds of books that were originally compiled in it, and those 100 are but a scratch compared to the millions of books that have existed from the time of Adam until now. But God has preserved those 60 perhaps because they are the most beneficial to Europeans and Americans. But not only those 60 books that we now call the Bible (exact number is Protestant Bible contains 66 books, Catholic Bible contains 73 books, Eastern Orthodox Bible contains between 75 and 81 books), and obviously those books are important for the entire planet since God has made them now available to everyone, and for the past 200 years the books contained in the Book of Mormon being obviously the most beneficial books by virtue of the fact that out of the millions of books since Adam these 60 books (60 to 81 that are compiled and now called the Bible) and the 15 books that are compiled in the Book of Mormon. Seems the Book of Mormon is just a final end cap to the Bible, being that it's only 15 books. Did God just try to make it bite sized and easy, knowing that people in the final hours of this planet's mortal existence would be lazy and unable to read entire books, and only able to watch videos on KZbin? Or is it because those 15 books are more powerful than all the millions of books since Adam, and a last and final touch added? I would be terrified to know that the Bible is the rocket ship, to get us to paradise, but that we don't have the ignition key. And we search and search, all 8 billion of us... and yet only 15 million have found it. The last 15 pages. Wouldn't it be horrifying if this time round God decided to only save 8 people again? Who gets to be the lucky Noah this time? No, thankfully the 60 books that are compiled in what we call the Bible are very clear that there will be entire nations preserved, albeit a remnant, that this time He will come personally to save. And those final 15 books are even more clear. However, ironically, the first 60 books and the final 15 books also state that yet more books will come during those final hours, carried to us by the Lost Tribes, as a minimum. Wouldn't it be cruel if God required everybody to read all those additional books, at the gate, before allowing us in? How humiliating to be stuck there at the gate, as everybody who has read all the 60 and 15 and new books simply walk right in, and Peter looks at us disapprovingly until we've finished reading? Well, here I am re-reading, watching, 1 Nephi 3-5 on KZbin and worrying about when those new books come, because I'm already feeling tired! Hopefully they'll also be on KZbin and we can just watch them instead of read. Hopefully they're just as entertaining. My favorite video version of the Bible is Jesus of Nazareth (1977), because of the all-star-cast. It was originally shown on TV divided up into 4 episodes. However I've only watched it as a full length film (full length meaning more than 6 hours). I suppose much is lost in the visual version of these books. I can't imagine how we could adsorb all that is in them, right there at the Pearly Gate, supervised by Peter. Or even in all of these final hours if the Lost Tribes came now instead of at the last minute. Just too much reading! And... the Book of Mormon is actually just a tiny percentage of all the books that were compiled in the record. Joseph Smith only gave us 15 books. There were at least 4 times that in the record that he had. The witnesses say that the portion that were sealed so that those pages couldn't be opened, was enormous. Maybe hundreds of books, it would be even bigger than the Bible which only has 60 books. And the Book of Mormon, even all of those 100 sealed books, just scratch the surface as thousands of books have been discovered and now are in museums all across the Americas. However, they have not been translated and published in mass and carried to the masses. No, for some reason, and I suppose it's because they're the most beneficial, these 60 books in the Bible and 15 books in the Book of Mormon are the only ones that have been perfectly preserved and carried to the 4 ends of the earth in these final moments of the earth's mortality. God help us, because I can hardly read one chapter in one book and I am totally exhausted!!! No, not even a chapter, just a few verses and I'm fast asleep!!! Thank heavens for KZbin! And audio versions!!! Or what's even more important are those who have studied these works, and go into great detail, explaining what they mean, because that's the most horrifying part, is that just one verse can contain an entire book worth of information. Oh the horror! How can we be saved?!! Truly it requires a miracle!!! Now I can understand a little better why the Son is pivotal, absolutely necessary. I pray that I only have to believe Him, and that He has read everything for me. Hallelujah indeed! In His name, Amen!

I have had so many spiritual experiences from reading, praying and pondering this marvelous book and that have helped me in numerous ways. So true. When reading the Book of Mormon, I certainly have a tendency to just think of Laman and Lemuel in a negative way, but they certainly did have their moments of wanting to be righteous. Jenna Young And they chose to go with the family. They could have stayed behind, the house and gold and silver etc was left behind, they could have had a life in Jerusalem without the family. People would understand why they didn’t leave. They didn’t believe in Lehi either. And They didn’t have to walk back to Jerusalem twice after leaving it. I think we’ll think differently about many in the Book of Mormon after these videos. And I think that’s a very good thing.. .... by the way I am SO looking forward to general conference next weekend.

The church has really done a great job with this series. I like how Sam is given more attention there is so little mentioned of him in The Book of Mormon. It helps you to understand he role in the family & that he truly was righteous. I also enjoyed seeing how Nephi's inner struggle to kill Laban even though the Lord commanded him to do it and the willing ness of Laban & Lemuel despite their hard hearted nature to cooperate with Lehi, Nephi and Sam to accomplish the mission of successfully obtaining the plates as well as the Sariah's struggles while her sons were away in Jerusalem.

It’s interesting to me that, although Laman and Lemuel made an initial effort to follow the direction of their father, they never did pray to the Lord to find out for themselves if what Lehi asked them to do was a divine directive - but Nephi DID pray to know - and know he did! God couldn’t keep it hidden from him. We don’t know how long or how hard Nephi prayed to know, but he sought out the Lord to know for himself. The small and simple act of praying every day to know the will of God - to receive personal revelation - makes a great impact over time in every life. God bless!

francis Prowd I’m from Australia and I agree the accent is a bit cheesy. However, I don’t hate it. Should I hate the accent? Would you rather they spoke in ancient Hebrew with subtitles and thus alienate a group of people who don’t like reading subtitles? Would you rather they spoke in an English accent despite this being a church mostly comprised of Americans? I love America. I don’t dislike America. Should I dislike America? I don’t think I should. Those who dislike America may not like the church anyway because one of it’s ideas is that America was the ripe place for the church to grow because of its freedom of religion and freedom of speech. I don’t think the accent therefore will actually drive away that many people, and I don’t know why you find it to be such a problem.

Mike Dennis Obviously I disagree. Did you really come here just to shake me from my faith? If you think the Book of Mormon is false you are here only to do this. You would have very little other reason to watch the video. If that’s your goal it is a lost cause. I believe there is much evidence for the Book of Mormons truth, for example, many of the ancient Hebrew names in the Book of Mormon were thought to be non existent in Joseph Smith’s time, and most are not found in the Bible, and yet decades, in some cases centuries later, we find evidence of some of these names in the same geographical and temporal location as Lehi as he leaves Jerusalem. I really don’t want to argue with you I just want to point out there are actually very good reasons to believe the Book of Mormon to be true. I don’t think you will agree they are good reasons but I also don’t think you should downplay the beliefs of others as being unsubstantiated when they believe those beliefs are substantiated.

francis Prowd I don’t understand your point. Are you really just making fun of me because I’m Australian? That’s just really immature, man. Also Jesus never “favoured” America, it was just a ripe spot for the church to grow. I understand now you don’t mind the VIDEOS having American accents, you hate the fact the Book of Mormon itself has ANYTHING to do with America. That seems pretty closed minded. “America bad, religion about America, therefore religion bad!” Like really, dude? The book is about ancient America, Joseph Smith happened to be in a place close in proximity to where the plates were buried. It’s actually not that unreasonable.

It helps to understand Laman and many of us have a little Laman in us. He isn't wicked at this point but he just doesn't fully believe in in father and he really didn't want to leave his home, and life in Jerusalem. This is very well done and portrays Nephi really well. He was the younger brother not some ripped man but a youth. I also am glad we get to here from Sariah and see her faith grow in her husband but also her worry. She did not see what Lehi saw but had to have faith in him even if it might have cost her her children. My one concern which is minimal is Nephi mentions having sisters as well which are not shown. I get why because we have no record here of what they said or did. But It would have been nice to see them at least with the caravan. Now that being said these are great teaching tools and I am ever grateful for something more than just the living scriptures.

In many portrayals of this story, Laman and Lemuel are shown as undeniable villians, stupid, and faithless. Laban is also unequivocally a bad guy, and Nephi is shown as perfect. I love this rendition that has rounded characters, complexity, and that disarms expectations. The first thing Laban says is polite and welcoming! I love these videos, they make the story come alive like it might have actually happened.

This is a really great portion of the Book of Mormon on the screen. The part about it that I particularly enjoyed and felt completely embraced with was when the brothers went back into Jerusalem to get plates of brass. The characters of the brothers are the most powerful here, as you can see that they have brotherly appreciation as well as sibling rivalry. The characters of Laman and Lemuel were accepting, conflicted with other complexities that make this true story come across strongly in this adaptation. I particularly felt a great deal of compassion over the characters, especially when the angel appeared to the brothers.

The Spirit of the Lord is so interwoven in these videos that the truthfulness continues to be made known to all those who seek out the truth of Jesus Christ and his divinity as the Son of God and the only way back to our Father in Heaven. In other words, Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. The Book of Mormon testifies of this.

Oh how I love the clear doctrine of Christ and 2nd Witness to God's Omnipotent power and divine plan of happiness!!! I know that Jesus Christ is the way, truth, the light, and the life of the world!!! He descended below us all and He is full of mercy and unconditional love, defined clearly as the pure love of Christ in The Book of Mormon!!! How grateful I am for my testimony of this record preserved by the hand of God to bless the whole human family the world over!!! Thank heaven for the only One, God the Father's Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, worthy to satisfy the demands of justice completely and offer all penitent souls mercy and grace divine & powerful enough to liberate us from our sins and redeem us from mortal death!!! Thank heaven for the Great Plan of Happiness, which offers hope to all human hearts and minds!!!!!!!! The Book of Mormon I read, study and have gained a testimony that it is true!!! Without God's aid, revelation, there is no way that the prophet Joseph Smith, Jr. Could have translated these records!!! Thank heaven for his faith, diligence, and works that brought this book forward to watmrn us of a fallen people and Christ fulfilling the prophecy that He gave while in Jerusalem, in John 10:16 "16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." @@theccc8318 Funny how you dismiss the fact that one of our 13 Articles of Faith states We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly, we also believe The Book of Mormon to be the word of God!!! There are so many different Christian religions with varying doctrines, interpretations, and sometimes contradictory beliefs!!! Yet all or most of them stem from The Holy Bible! As a latter-day saint I am truly grateful for revelation and the spirit of discernment to guide us all in what is truth!!! Thank heaven that the testimony of more than just one nation backs a perfectly loving Father in Heaven and His Only Begotten Son in the flesh, Jesus Christ, our Great Exemplar Atoning One, Rock upon which if men meaning all mankind, since Adam and Eve, may have eternal life!!!! I am impressed with the level of detail in these videos. I thought the power of the Book of Mormon would be hard to capture but great job so far! The real power of this book is to test it and ask with sincerity in prayer if it is not true, receive your answer, then abide by it's principles. It's a heavily Christ-centered book and it will improve your life; and as we all improve, the world improves.
