I love that Samuel preaching manages to look both absolutely terrified, but also joyful, like he likely was. Faith is pushing past our doubts to obey God, like courage is having fear but choosing to push past fear. I love this story

This video is just beautiful, especially the ending. I've read these chapters so many times throughout my life but never thought about small details like: what was Samuel thinking when those first arrows were soaring through the air right at him? Was he afraid? Did he think he was about to die, and knew that he'd fulfilled Heavenly Father's commandments? That part was amazing, as well as the emotions on the faces of those who believed, and the young archer's beginning seed of faith. Also, the ending....wow. Such a powerful dose of the spirit. Thank you to everyone involved, cast and crew, for making these videos!

If you believe this, it’s a game changer. The fact that the coming of Christ was prophesied in the Americas, along with details about his life and death for us shows how God loves all people in every corner of the globe. This made it possible for these people to accept Christ and feel the joy of redemption during their lives.

For me, because of the Spirit of the Lord which touches my heart when I read, hear, or see these testimonies regarding the birth of the Son of God into the world, it is Christmas for me all year long. It is wonderful to live with this light in my life. For this I am grateful. Jesus Christ is not only the light of the world; He is the light of my life personally. : ) I know he will stand on the earth again one day, and when he does, the earth itself will bear witness to us that her Creator stands upon her once again, and the earth will tremble with joy at the return of the Lord. The earth herself will bear witness.

1) an image of the guy who is speaking on the wall (his name is Samuel the Lamanite)- there's a good close up of him at about 2:50 2) a person who hates Samuel (around 12:46 is an angry guy who hates him) 3) a person who stands up for Samuel (around 12:44 is a kid who stands up for him) Show quoted

Something I noticed in the old Book of Mormon videos vs the new ones is the old videos they where all about the feathers. I mean LOTS of feathers. But they totally forgot to change the actors then modern hair cut. Now, it's all about the hair with lots of braids. The costumes are probably also way more historically accurate than in the old videos. Part of me wonders how the actors felt in the old videos when the costumes came out and they found out they where pretty muched decked out with feathers bigger than their own shoulder width🤣.
@00Fisher004 ай бұрын
You're probably also noticing some intentional representation of shifting culture. The events did happen over a period of 1000 years, so there's no reason why people should look exactly the same at different times.

Sometimes it troubles me that the scriptures seem to be full of stories about how those who do not agree are evil and will be made sorry for being the way that they are. Seems like a very human problem, and I think that in reality God must be bigger than that and must understand all points of view much better than most of us realize.
@mmkvoe6342Ай бұрын
God understands all points of view...but those who He will allow to stay with Him are those who agree and align with doing things His way and are in unity with Him, because it's only those who agree with Him and allow and work for all things to be done His way who will succeed and not fail, because He is always right and by definition anyone who is right will agree with Him and anyone who doesn't agree with Him is wrong.
