One great thing about this song is that perhaps you don't understand many things while listening to it the first time. I mean, you can understand the words but perhaps you don't know the concept behind them. You can understand the word L.U.C.A but perhaps you don't understand what it means. You can listen to "goldilocks zone " but perhaps you think of something completely different. The great thing about this song is studying it, after listening to it. You start "googleing" or you read a comment somewhere in KZbin where somebody explains every word. After thar you realize that you learnt a lot of interesting new things about such an important issue as our origin is. One of the big questions of human kind, " where do we come from ? ". So I have to thank this song and mr. Holopainen for giving me some extra knowledge about that fascinating question. This song is an important thing for us, for mankind.

The band needs to get a better drummer. Lose this Troy guy(cancer to this band) Let Emppu play again. Add another guitarist. Go back to the era that never should of ended. Make peace with Tarja. Richard Dawson's writings are the basis of the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful and truly highlight the Greatest Show on Earth. The music is intense, Floor runs the gamut of vocals and the voice-over leaves your head spinning with the the deep thoughts of the universe and how lucky we are to be on this spec on the endless sea of that universe. The impact for me was the same as Carl Sagan's great quote when Voyager was leaving the solar system and took a picture of earth in a ray of light and he noted that on that spec everyone who had ever lived, loved, hated, every hero or coward that it was their place of existence...again a deep thought with a great impact. hello Nephi, thank you for your reaction - I've been waiting for some time for you to finally dare to approach "the greatest Show on Earth". Yes - it's about the genesis of the universe and the earth - as always masterfully composed by Tuomas and realized by Nightwish. It's incredible how much potential this group has and I'm sure now - as they grow together more and more - there will still be a lot to expect that we can't even imagine today. The new album is in the final mixing process - it's going longer than expected and there have been many more layers recorded than the studio software can handle. It had to be improvised again - I know that from internal sources. I especially want to thank you for your attention to the "credits" as well - it contains the most important statements about this composition - you are one of the few (at least to those who have published reaction videos) who seem to me to take this into account.
@rolfschonmuller84845 жыл бұрын
@@PeaceweaponPT I wouldn't mind... but then it wouldn't be for the stage anymore - the piece here was already borderline, because it was just too long and too complex to captivate the audience. Rumours say that Tuomas apparently got inspired by the series "black Mirror" this time - I don't know the series, so I can't say anything about it. I only saw some photos from the video shoot - and it was obviously about pollution... all in all it seems to be very interesting again.

@@rolfschonmuller8484 Oh wow, Black Mirror was an inspiration for the new album???? That's hella interesting! FYI, Black Mirror is a Netflix original, and it's damn good. Very briefly, it's a series of short stories about people's fascination with and addiction to technology. "Black Mirror" is a reference to the black reflective screens we're always gazing into, and reference also to a "mirror on society".

@@jeffk1482 Actually it was a Channel 4 'original', but was picked up by Netflix 2 or 3 series (I forget which) later. Netflix can call it their 'original' if they can get away with it/if they like.

the greatest reaction to this song

Your reaction was like mine exactly, when I first listened to this piece of art. 💕 Only difference being, I had been in an audience at a metal festival in the Netherlands, knowing Nightwish from earlier days. But nothing could ever had prepared me for this. Actually this song and Floor performing 'ghost love score' back then renewed my love for this incredible band. I think. I need to pick 'the poet and the pendulum' to be played at my very own funeral ❤️

This is the greatest thing to be preformed and developed by Tuomas and Nightwish. But I hope that Tuomas is thinking even beyond this masterpiece. I'm sure he is. Can you imagine. This one of those songs that require listening to over and over and over again.

Well done on playing the video until the end

Toumas is a lyrical and poetic maestro, BUT... to the credit of his peers around him - they transform his thoughts into emotional rollercoasters that we are privileged to rideshare with those Nightwish fans around the world.

And that was exactly the theme of the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful, which ended with this masterpiece. Search for the beautiful album cover art. It shows all where this song is about.

The feeling I would describe as feeling very very small in the grand scheme of things but also very life affirming because we were here and we had an impact even if that impact maybe small it can still be significant (and not in the we're ruining the planet kinda way, but more in the change for good kind of way :) )

And a subscriber to you! Because that was one of the most lovely reactions i've seen to this song and you actually understood what was going on as it was happening. As well as not talking over prof. Dawkins's parts as many youtubers do. Thank you, you made my day!

Anyone to notice the double Easter eggs Bach + Metallica’s Enter Sandman ?
@MrNikolidas5 жыл бұрын
After Bach was a banjo, and after Enter Sandman was a techno drum beat. Fittingly, the evolution of music.
