First Off NO WONDER Neptune has such an aversion to water!!! Secondly WOW Scarlet has a really powerful/useful semblance as anyone whose played Kingdom Hearts will tell you Gliding is amazing for getting distance on enemies and you can pseudo Fly. Thirdly This Confirms who on Team SSSN is what charater from the Tale 'Journey to to the West' Sun is (obviously) Monkey, Sage is Sandy, Scarlet is Pigsy, and Neptune is the Dragon Horse.

A shame they never use they're semblances during v3. This makes me think Miles and Kerry didn't had a clue about their semblances the same with Team CFVY. It's like they told the writer of the books about it.

I also find it annoying that they don't do anything with Scarlett and instead keep introducing new gay characters only to do nothing with them as well and then forget about them next volume.

Man, the two SSSN members I was excited to learning more about of and they barely get anything in this novel. I was really looking forward to reading this, but if they’re really gonna do them like that, then that’s a big letdown... Also, I was hoping the Crown was connected to Salem in some sort of way

I think Neptune's semblance is similar to Pyrrha's, touching a element/substance then being able to manipulate it to veering degree. As for when the next book will take place I think it'll be just before the show and Team RWBY arrive in Vacuo. Loved the fairy tale references though I still can't figure out who Theodore could based on, the black and white photo in his office plus his gloves are major hints I can tell that much at least.

It was pretty clear that the plot was the driving force behind the narrative of Before the Dawn. So if weren't extremely interested in it then you weren't gonna like it. Also how they did After the Fall was done lile that specifically for CFVY. EC Myers was trying to provide a introspection to the characters. As well as draw a comparison in their development. And of course partially to give some insight to their time at Beacon.

I'm not gonna bother with the books. My question why can't Miles and Kerry write about these characters more? It feels like they don't have time and they're always rushing the main story. Yet they have time to retcon the narrative, put plot holes, ship teasing and make lackluster fights. The way I see it they don't have the money to include more characters, more fights, more animation. We can't forget RT is facing a financial crisis due to so many employees leaving the company and I have a feeling there will be more laid off's in the future.

Sage is the only one who doesn’t have a semblance? Really? Also I’m sad cuz Scarlet x Fox didn’t happen, neither did Scarlet x Sage. But perhaps this is a positive in the way that we might get more of team SSSN when they get to Vacuo. But I also thought Nolan was dead so who really knows the truth. I also hope the rest of SSSN get to shine a bit more with their semblances cuz like gliding is cool but it mostly depends on execution. Neptune’s power is cool but it depends on how he’s gonna use it cuz encasing himself on water is useless since he’d electrocute himself. Also water must be very important in Vacuo so how important is that gonna be?

The anthologies have been confirmed to be not canon, maybe that's why there is no hints to Scarlet being gay because its not actually canon? I spoke to Meyers to find out Neptunes sibling same, which I only got another brother being called Saturn, he said if its not in his BOOKS or the SHOW its not canon. Meaning the athologies (which means non canon manga) isnt canon.

Now, go and watch Yang's character short. The Ursa clearly breaks her aura, yet she somehow enters beast mode ( activates her semblance ) right after getting her auta depleted.

@@communitygamer117 Another thing that comes to mind is Ruby's semblance. Volume 1 : "my semblance is super-speed". Volume 4 : "some people can turn into a gush of rose petals" ( this is what Qrow says obvously alluding to Ruby's semblance, which was apparently retconned ). Then in Vol 7, after realising their mistake, they tried to fix it by making it seem like Ruby thought her semblance is super speed, then gets reassured its different than a regular speed semblance. Not to mention Rubt kinda cannot use super speed anymore ; every time she uses her semblance she's super slow ; the advantages she gets are being able to fly and make an ally fly along, and being able to evade enemy attacks or obstacles ( like splitting into 3 separate rose petal gushes or like when she fought Harriet, using petals' small volume to slip through the enemies' hands, literally ).

@@ognjendjurdjevic7527 Your problem is not understanding what they are saying. Firstly, Yang's aura didn't break it was only damaged. You need to pay attention to the difference between an aura break and just being damaged. Also they didn't change anything with Ruby's semblance, Ruby thinks her semblance is super speed, Qrow saying she "burst into rose petals" hence the name "Petal Burst". This isn't a contradiction because both are true. She does get faster but it not only thing. Qrow also said Nora can absorb electricity but that isn't everything she does. I don't know how you thought it was a retcon. If you want to debate if gets faster or not we can do that.
