I don't know if you'll see this comment because the review is 5 months old but I just got the collector's edition for the Switch and I love it, such a nice edition and I'm really happy it came out on the Switch. I'm more of a Senran Kagura fan, though I do have a good amount of Neptunia games and I am also disappointed they didn't include the clothing degradation mechanic, one of my favorite things about the Senran Kagura games. I agree with you 100% about fan service, there's nothing wrong with it at all and that's totally the reason I buy certain games. Overall very happy to have this and your review was great, love your videos

Of course I'll see it Keith😊. I check my comments every day. Oh yea, I remember seeing that it was coming to Switch. How does it run? It is a bit strange that they didn't include the clothing damage or really anything specifically from either game but its still a decent cross over. You're right though, fan service is literally a selling point. Its for the fans of....well, fan service lol. Imagine something that you personally dislike in the world, then imagine going around telling the people that enjoy that kind of thing that they're wrong. Then imagine trying to censor it. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. The people who want these games censored aren't people who were ever going to buy it so why cater to them. Its like saying, I don't like cooking shows and I never watch them, which means you shouldn't either lol. Very odd position to have. I mean, if you want to censor a dead body on the News then I kind of understand that. Games like this are rated appropriately so they clearly aren't for kids. you dont really expect neptunia games or senran to be really good or AAA quality. its light hearted fun, and characters are memorable. this is definitely not the best nep or senran game, but its a lot better than most nep spin offs like vvvtunia, superdimension neptunia rpg, etc. both series seem to have run out of ideas since we are way over due for an official main line nep and senran game. all we get are spinoffs and remakes of remakes of older nep games

I enjoy the game it may not be nowhere near as good as the mainline senran kagura games when it comes to its gameplay, but I am here for the character interactions between 2 franchise I am a huge fan of, I enjoy it for what it was the game was more like senran kagura but for what I got I enjoy

The funny thing is that probably the ONLY thing both franchises have in common are transformation mechanics in actual gameplay and this game for some reason doesn't and NO color swaps are not transformations.

Seems like they wasted a LOT of potential by not putting the fan service stuff in. I've always loved Senran Kagura I still have deep crimson on my 3DS with all the dlc. And crossing over with another notable series with anime girls to NOT have the lewd stuff is a slap in the face to the fans that made Senran games what they are. Screw censorship!

I'm funnily enough the exact opposite in a way that I'm more familiar with the Neptunia games way more than I am the Senran Kagura games although that's mainly because turn based RPGs appeal to me more than Hack n Slash games do lol.

My ps4 is some where in the house. I mainly play on the pc and switch so I'm a little bummed this is a ps4 exclusive. I would have bought this straight up even with the lack of fan service. Maybe the fan service is a little tame because of 2 franchises crossing over. Or it could be because this game is made by idea factory and they aren't localizing any game that needs to be censored for the western market. So what you get is probably how it was intended any way. Kenichiro Takaki, the main guy of senran kagura actually quit marvelous for cygames due to restrictions on fan service. In my personal opinion I never really thought that much of idea factory's games to begin with, so the fact they made a game that can be called decent to begin with is amazing to me. If my facts are of the mark it's because I spent all of 2 mins in "research".

Yea, I was really surprised to learn this wasn't on Switch or PC. I think both Neptunia and Senran are usually released everywhere except Xbox aren't they? Fan service in this specific game is pretty tame but it didn't ruin the game for me. If you just take the moment to moment gameplay, its honestly fine. Its relatively enjoyable, controls OK for the most part and the sub systems are fine as well. Its a game that I feel is good but not mind blowing. As far as I know, this game was literally designed from the beginning to be much less spicy so I guess it is what it is. Its a shame that stuff keeps getting censored or toned down from the beginning. It isn't real so I don't really get the problem. I guess its similar to that old argument of violence in games creates monsters. It factually doesn't of course, but people gotta blame some thing! A Switch version was announced recently. A shame about the lack of fan service though. I feel like developers are kind of developing into a wrong direction with stuff like this. The people who have issue with fan service probably still won't buy the games yet the people who enjoy fanservice are now left with less of what they enjoy.

I bought this game on my birthday (at full price) because it was something I've had my eye on for a while now and man, I wish I saw your review before I did. I'm a fan of both franchises but I've played more Senran games than I have Neptunia and I was hoping this was going to be something like Estial Versus with big waves of enemies and gratuitous fanservice only to be Really disappointed. I've been eagerly waiting for a new Senran game since PBS (exclusing Burst Renewal, I haven't played it yet) and I thought this was the one that'd bring it back but it's really, really sanitized, I hope this won't become a trend in future senran games... we need more unapologetically raunchy boobie games

Absolutely agree my friend. It was a bit of a let down in those areas, although the gameplay itself isnt what I would call bad, it just doesnt feel much like a Senran or Neptunia game. Senran 7 WAS in development but sadly, Sony's censorship forced the creator and developers to scrap the game entirely and start over. Sony wasnt going to let them release it on PlayStation if they kept it the way it was. At the moment, the whole games future is up in the air😢. And yeah I remember hearing about 7 in development, it's so sad it had to be scrapped due to censorship... Yep, its a shame but censorship is happening more and more these days. I normally post one video per week at the moment simply due to permenant health conditions. Im currently working on Wild Hearts (EA gave me a late review code), Samurai Maiden, Goldeneye 007 and one more that I'm not allowed to talk about just yet as it was a review code. Well it IS backwards compatible with the PS5 so you'd be OK there. In terms of advice though, I would actually say you'd be better off playing the standard Senran Kagura games first. This game is OK and playable but I prefer the standard games over it. I would recommend Senran Kagura: Estival Versus and Senran Kagura: Burst Re:Newal. Both of those games are on PS4 and are backwards compatible on the PS5. After you've played those games, then you could consider getting Neptunia X Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars. I also enjoy Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash but that's a 3rd person shooter using water guns (I have a video on my channel if you want to check it out). I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!👍🏻

Yea, I've actually had pretty good luck with all IF games that I've played. I don't really recall anything that would be considered a bug or glitch. There could of been a bug that I just didn't notice of course, but I don't remember ever seeing one myself. Yea haha, good luck with the PC port, I hope its fun and bug free!

Thanks for the question. Its because about 98% of PS4 games work perfectly on a PS5 console via disc or download. Basically, almost all PS4 games are backwards compatible with the PS5. Hope that clears things up!👍🏻

There's a couple of games that have a slight compatibility issue but as I say, 98% of them work perfectly. Assassins Creed Syndicate for example has some weird issues with flickering shadows but some PS4 games actually run better when played on a PS5. Hope your testing goes well!👍🏻

No problem at all! If you owned games digitally on the PS4 you should also be able to download them all to your PS5 and play them without any issues. Having a PS5 lets you play all the newest PS5 games of course, but it also opens up the entire PS4 catalogue to you as well (with a very small number of exceptions). Have fun my friend!
