Being a baby also has other properties in F3, so if you wanted to really simulate that you should install Tale Of Two Wastelands and start in Fallout 3 then teleport yourself to the train station to trigger the New Vegas start but while still being a baby

I just can't seem to wrap my mind around the fact that no one seems to know about or use the YCS/186 unique gauss rifle that you can get without virtually any effort. It's more powerful than the Anti-material rifle especially against BoS and you can get it for free at any lvls.

Its basically in the northest part of the map in a little clearing at the foot of the mountains, carried by a random thug accompanied by other random thugs. The same location where the aliens are when you have the wild wasteland trait. It's the most powerful weapon and the easiest to acquire.

If you want something fun to do between Boulder City and the Strip, at least in my experience the broken down car at the Mountain Shadows Campground is bugged and weighs nothing so you can throw it around. Maybe it was just that run when it was glitched since I haven't gone back, but it is weird.
