I was expecting some fun management game goodness... and then you bring up Goku Vs Superman... *sigh* why do you trigger my critical brain? Bottom line: Goku would win. Both characters are practically the same in terms of concept and general ability- both can fly, both are OP as fuck, yet both can still be overcome. But there is one glaring difference, and that is the nature behind their abilities. Superman's powers are both finite and conditional. He needs to be on a planet with a Yellow Sun for his powers to be active- and despite the meme that he is 100% unbeatable, his feats of strength DO HAVE LIMITS. It is canonical that, while he can dish out immeasurable amounts of damage, he can only take so much damage himself. More than most other figures in the DC Universe, true- but he is not invincible. Even without factoring Kryptonite or magic, he can still be beaten if an opponent is strong enough. Take villains like Darkseid and Zod for example- they don't need magic or Kryptonite to fight Superman, and more often than not they could easily trounce him, proving that Superman's durabilty has a set limit. Similarly, so does his strength. There was a moment where Superman was able to close a 'Book of Infinite Pages'- and people say this proves that his strength is infinite... they're wrong. They ignore that he could only close it with the help of Wonder Woman- not only proving the book has a set-weight [because if it was truly infinite, NOTHING COULD CLOSE IT], but also proving that the height of Superman's strength has a limit equal to just over 'half of infinity'. If both the book AND Superman were truly infinite, nothing would have happened at all because Supe's strength would PERFECTLY match the weight of the book as apposed to exceeding it. And this is why Goku would win. Unlike Superman, Goku's strength is both natural and adaptive. He has set limits, sure- but these limits are never really 'set' as such. Goku constantly trains to get stronger- reaching new height, achieving new forms, etc.- and has he gets stronger, his limits get higher and higher. This is further boosted on the rare times he is defeated- thanks to his Saiyan biology, Goku's power near-doubles every time his body heals from near-death situations and even when he's brought back from death itself. And he's a stubborn prick who loves to fight- so even if Superman could beat Goku at one point [remembering that Superman makes a point never to kill his opponent, canonically], Goku would just heal up and come back even stronger than before. Eventually Goku's growing strength will outweigh Superman's finite limits- so if we're keeping both characters true to their source materials, Superman will eventually, inevitably, definitively lose the battle. Of course, if you say "fuck keeping true- I'll say Superman doesn't care about killing", then Superman would just straight up murder Goku while he's still weak enough to take out. Even then though, there are dozens of ways Goku can and will be brought back to life- still making Goku even stronger than before, and back for a rematch. Furthermore, this is only assuming you don't count 'Ki' as a type of magic. Since all of Goku's non-physical attacks are Ki-based, IF you count Ki as a form of magic [some do, some don't], then these attacks would be doubly-effective in damaging Superman. And considering there are Kamehameha blasts that can disintegrate even the fastest-healing people in the DB universe [such as Cell and Buu], one decent Kamehameha would be more than enough to wipe Supes out for good even at a basic Super Saiyan/SSJ1 level. Simply putting it, there is no way Superman would win in a fight with Goku. He may put him down a few times, but ultimately it won't be enough and Goku will overpower him.

On the superman vs goku thing... As much as I'd like goku to win, I know he wouldn't. Superman is effectively limitless while goku can only break any finite limit. Goku wins in character but superman wins in power. This is the point of goku: to overcome any limited challenge while Superman is supposed to be limitless and simply needs to worry about saving those around him instead than himself.

LoreCraftLP Superman is basically a Mary Sue, he not only has all of the powers but he can't die, is stronger than superweapons designed to kill him, and his biggest weakness depending on what the plot demands ranges from either killing him to doing practically nothing. Goku at this point is fighting gods capable of destroying the universe for fun, still doesn't matter though because Goku no matter how ridiculous he's written it still isn't just "I win" the superpower, he loses fairly regularly for in universe consistent reasons.

@@scragar But goku comes back every time anyway, because he's a mary sue too - the difference between them is Superman is a boring invincible hero and Goku is a fun 'invincible' hero (even when he dies hes not gone etc). That's why i say neither can win a lasting victory against the other.
