AgentTasmania ps2 had shit load times on ALL games. This game is especially horrible with it, so there are tells of a shit port, but the gamecube does have better load times. I couldnt tell you why though, maybe its the small discs.

This game doesn't even have it's own original music for the levels. It just reuses the SMB1 OST, and very inconsistently at that. You could be playing a level with Monkey Mall as the music track, die, and respawn with Polar as the music. Or alternatively, be playing a level with Sky High as the track, continue on in the same world, and the next level you play has Space Station as the music

I never got past Jungle Island when I was younger, spent about 12-14 hours of my time running around Jungle Island (Primarily the one small island where you get the punch chant) literally monkeying around (pun intended). I returned to the game recently determined to finish it and got a week's worth of anger from it due to bad camera controls (wouldn't let me use it) as well as just game breaking glitches and unobtainable bananas (I went for an 100% run and later found some bananas are unreachable. There is also the fact I have a documented 651/600 bananas in Jungle Island, so it's clear that even the developers decided this game was a trainwreck). I wish a bit more thought was put into this game because it could have been so much better made.
