I think that when you run in one direction, the map objects don't loop however the terrain textures will loop.

Fun Fact: Sonic Adventure was originally being developed for the Sega Saturn, but as we all know that console ended up not doing too well. So once Sega began developing the Dreamcast, development of the game switched to that console. However, this "Sonic World" portion was made up of unused assets from the Saturn version

Speaking of nostalgia for christmas, I'll be getting Bully and the GTA trilogy this christmas, his high praise for them convinced me to try them out, only ever played San andreas and on, never the others... and now that I think about it it's not nostalgia if I've never played them, retro would be the proper term I guess, whatever, you get the point.

Yes, those are some of the best games ever made, they don't hold up too well (except Bully, that's class) but still a hella lot of fun. Coincidentally, my nostalgia came from looking up the Sonic CD intro/outro that was in this and it led me to a weird children's TV KZbin channel that has old animated shows. On there was pretty much my favourite TV show as a kid, the Fairy Tale Police Department, now I'm binge watching that. So thanks a lot for that, Dan.

I'm gonna finish my second playthrough of RDR and it's dlc (both are so amazing) then play bully then gta 3, vice city, and San andreas, in that order, still waiting for backwards compatibility to play gta 4 again, or a remaster preferably. I should also play LA Noire sometime, that covers all the R* big hitters, correct?

The funniest part were the reactions to the videos, theres a bunch of old Sonic videos out there. Also Schoolhouse has free roaming in a 3D environment and was released in 96 but I'm not sure if it was proper 3D or Doom-style '3D'. Also I don't think it was released outside of the US. Also it's a weird educational game so it probably doesn't count. It uses the 3D models from the unreleased Xtreme though.
