Pinning a post about thermals, as there are so many engaged commenters. The airflow is unobstructed, but if it becomes a problem we'll just pop it off. This is just attached to the faceplates, it can be swapped out at any moment :) Maybe don't do the same thing unless you don't know what you're doing. Insulating your PS5 is not recommended.

Once again a really neat idea. The cooling lava with the black crackle patches looks fantastic. I like the main lava flow, but to my mind it's too yellow, I would think a more orange look would fit lava better. One thing I wonder about is why the lava is not programmed to appear like it's flowing. Not much of a programmer but if there are a lot of LEDs in there and they are addressable, perhaps a randomizing sub routine could be incorporated into the Arduino program? All in all, it's awesome!

I know they said lava but to me it (and possibly inspired by the dwarves from Tolkein) looks like molten metal rather than molten rock; molten metal (steel/iron) goes to a white-yellow especially when poured like in this build, to then be used for casting - if you want to see; alec steele went to an ironworks recently and filmed it; it shows iron being forged into hot rolled steel and does look a LOT like the 'lava' flowing in this dwarven build. Really good work! Love your staff. Just one criticism you should paint the big lava just as the small ones. Those are soooo cool! :)

I know it you made it into Lord of the Rings but to me, it really gave me fun memory flashbacks of the Dwarven Kingdom Ironforge from WoW Days back in the day. You did absolutely amazing and i wish this wasn't so difficult because that Ps5 is 1000000 x better than just a normal one.

This is good content. Finally, someone with a craft. I was hoping it would open up and reveal the place where you put the discs but it's still super dope. The lighting up part is super cool.

This looks freakin awesome. You have out done yourselves once again. There is one thing that I'm slightly concerned about is getting the hot air out. I'm sure you took this into account when making this but if the PlayStation starts to slow down or freeze during gameplay there might be an issue with the heat not getting out of the side pop collar vent spaces. I'm pretty sure it's ok but just keep an eye on it.

I had the same thought. I wonder is there’s space to vent the heat that wasn’t mentioned.

Gotta appreciate the amount of work that was put onto this! Well done!

This looks absolutely incredible!! The detail is exquisite. Super cool!! I just have to wonder though, do you worry about heat distribution? Or is that already factored in when you design it. Again, amazing job!

Back end open, rewatch how she made the cast for the lavafall and you can visually see the gap being created for the airflow even able to notice it during the outro showcasing.

I love it that you put a clock in view. Gives us something of a realistic expectation about how long it takes to create something like this. Of course I also love your fabrications and the videos!

So, just curious, if the bents are covered, how it breathe? Or just blow up? Also, a couple painted orange streaks might make the lava a bit more realistic... looks super pretty, and cool!

İ thought about this too. İ think it just overheats

I have to literally hang mine in front of the AC to keep it running, my guess is she doesn't use it much.

The vents on the back aren't blacked, but I also wondered about the big van vent on the side. It would have been smart to make those large doors open so that vent would still he able to draw in the air it needs

I love this! Now hear me out, the next big project could be something to hold all of it in front of the TV to hide the cords and bring it all together. Also, having whatever it is wrapped around the TV as well.

I've been binging your channel for the past week, and I'm super amazed by the progress throughout the years. I hope I would've found you sooner. This new video caught me super off-guard and I'm incredibly happy of finally being caught up with you! Amazing video, amazing creation! And yes, the PS5 looks so much better all in black qq I wish that was the default for us less capable/creative commoners, haha. Thank you Martina and Hansi for having such a great channel and sharing your skills with the world!

Looks like someone enjoyed seeing the dwarven kingdom in Rings of Power😁 It came out amazing, I love how you added the hints of color where the lava would be casting light, and I’ve never seen anyone do that crackling lava top effect before. Sweet. I saw this cool art piece on Pinterest where someone had this giant, oversized, fantasy looking book and they sculpted a scene from the story (literally from the pages) of a ship about to be capsized by these massive resin waves, that I would love to see you attempt.
