The concept of incongruent sets with a minimum of the standard 7 for the purpose of class is a really good idea, and the box art is really cool. The price is actually fair (minus the monk) considering you get a full set plus extra dice all matching as a set. You could definitely get cheaper but unlikely to be matching in a special theme.

With sorcerer, the d8s make sense when you think about sorcerous burst potentially adding more damage dice. But I don't understand the monk's distribution. Every set should have the same number of dice if they're the same price. The denominations can fluctuate.

I feel like, as a bard lover, I lucked out with their only set design because my bard’s magic is a sparkling mix of blue and green… which is exactly what this is. Nice.

Sirius Dice has a ton of really cool dice and things. We've been getting their stuff in at work recently and I've bought a lot of it. They do really cool d20 necklaces too.

The monks absolutely got ripped off. A deflecting attack uses TWO (2x) rolls of your martial arts die, which they shorted us on the D12 with only 1. So, if they had given us 1 more of each d6, d8, d10, and d12, it would have been 16. -OR- I would have taken 1x more D12 and a cool focus point tracking D20 die or something similar to Mtg life counter tracker spinner and been just as happy. WotC should have known better than to let that ship like that.

If there are going to be more than 7 dice, which is all you really need in an average set, I’m a big fan of 11 piece sets, especially for beginners. Those have a total of 4d6 (for rolling ability scores) and 2d20 (for obvious reasons). Some of these look cool, and 5-9 extra dice do help to justify the price… a little. I can’t see myself buying more than one or two, though, and I’m in no hurry. There are plenty of other great places to get good dice.

I just ordered some of these last night. Really hoping there isn't going to be a really good deal on them on Black Friday lol. Going to be interesting to see how they compare to Beadle and Grimm's. They have a couple of classes that have two sets. But oddly the artificer is missing... When it comes to the number of distribution of dice, I think you really need two sets, especially once you get into spells. While most players playing a spell caster is going to use Fireball. I'm not sure everyone is. I suppose the monk could get less dice because they don't really more. Maybe it cost more to produce them. Or maybe they just expect less sets of Monk dice to sell, and its a cost saving measure to make the sets producible for the monk. Also Sirius Dice does Accerack's Treasures, which are Random DIce with a random D&D Branded Dice Bag and a Random Coin. It really is a shame they don't sell the dice bags separately because they are amazing themselves.

If we look at the Wizard, Beadle and Grim comes with 16 dice as well. I believe Beadle and Grim's all have one standard set of dice, then extra dice in a different color (some are very unreadable and I'm glad that Sirius dice looks like most if not all of them are going to be readable). In total you get 4d4 (instead of one. Which is an odd choice because Magic Missile!). You get 4d6 as opposed to 2d6. In both sets you get 4d8. So Sirius gives you 3 more D10s, and an additional d12. I really do wonder what the thought on the D6s are, given how iconic fireball is as a spell. I think you could easily get rid of a d8 and a d10 to have two more d6s.

Drizzt gets his own dice cause even they can’t agree what class he is

Really enjoy your videos. I'm curious what a multi class dice set would look like? I agree different number of dice for different classes. Sorcoridin, Hexadin, and fighter/sorcerer? How about dice for each school of magic?

The box says all the dice needed to get the class to tier 2... what ever that means...
@Wumphenour123Ай бұрын
I imagine that would be all the dice for levels 1-4 or tier 1. Tier 2 is levels 5-10

Nice. Kinda just wish each set had the same amount of dice. I just like the designs lol

I can understand loading up on the d4s and d8s in the Cleric set, but 1d6 when Guiding Bolt starts with 4 is a little disappointing

I’m shocked that WotC has done a bit more work on their part by not only making strange distributions but also they didn’t just copy all the class dice from DDB. The best distribution would probably just be a standardized one because no matter what they pick it won’t be appealing to everyone. So you might as well just stick to the norm and go from there. The prices on these are pretty bad though all things considered. I can get way cheaper dice that I enjoy the look of more and just deal with the fact they’re not “official”.

It seems at first glance the Additional die come from the Hit Die, at least that explains 4 D12, or the druid and Sorcerer getting excess D8's, but even that doesn't make sense as the Wizard is STILL LACKING EXTRA D6'S! This distribution makes no sense, 4D6's should be standard, period. You roll up a fresh character, boom you good to go! 7 pc die, basic set, 10 pc die (extra D4's), better set, the 11 pc sets with extra D20, those are perfect for D&D. This?... This just feels like there's no forethought. Like... Did they even play the game? Let alone read th books? Maybe I'm being too harsh but... Come on Wizards, yer slappin' yer name and logo on these, couldn't get a word in?

So Devs give us less stunning strikes so may as well have partners take away dice too. These are way over priced IMO.
