I'm not saying they were helpless and had no choice in the matter, but odds are if you lived in a particular place in a particular time and you decided that you weren't going to be part of that life. That life could still find it's way to you if you got remotely successful. As in you owned a little mom and pop shop and managed to make a profit to feed your family suddenly someone would show up demanding a cut. @aegorrivers67004 жыл бұрын
@@MartyDickRider ok, I see a lot of replies about the capo being a type of boss. That is true, it's a manager of people but a capo never uses the word 'boss'. this is only from what I read about mobsters and things said by monsters , obviously I wasn't in the mafia, but in a family, nobody will call himself the boss unless he is the Don, not a capo nor underboas, both of which have their own crews. Carmine Persico was the boss of the family, Michael was a capo, he would never say about himself that he was a boss, never in a interview would he say that he was a boss even though he had his crew. I understand that this is not something these channels like buzzfeed concern themselves with, but I think it's important to point out, the mafia didn't work like a company, even though it looks like that, with upper and middle management.

He really seemed relatable mainly in the human context, Tommy wouldn't pull the trigger on the kid in the car (Paulie did instead) also Paulie noticed this in Tommy and told him he had better get used to it. Also Tommy was shocked when the girl died in the car bomb (you could tell he really didn't want that to happen to her) another is where in the first game or the OG Tommy (not on Sams orders) lets the Whore go and we all know Tommy let Frank live. He broke so many rules in the mob but he had such a human side that lacked a bit in later Mafia games.
@lufsolitaire53512 жыл бұрын
Yea, Vito and Joe were probably the funniest but I think I liked Tommy on the basis of depth and that he started out as this normal,reasonable guy just trying to get through life who got dragged into the life; somewhat because it kind of just happened but also because he wanted to escape poverty(during the Great Depression after all) and not be a victim. The DE to me showed the complexity of his situation and that while he’s done awful things, still had a good heart underneath and there were some things that were just too far. He didn’t have the guts to murder Frank or Michelle, he understood Frank’s reasons for getting out and couldn’t fault him for being tired of looking king over his shoulder and knowing at some point Salieri would dispose of him. Maybe it was a screw up, but I think Frank like Tommy got tired of being paranoid and indulged in his hobbies like dog racing even when it got him killed.

A manager isn't a boss?
@Taima2 жыл бұрын
@@tucolalo8251 Yeah I think he doesn't realize that it's not wrong, it's just misleading. They didn't claim he was the head of the family, just that he was an ex-mob boss. That is true insofar as a capo had a number of men under him as part of the hierarchy. You wouldn't say your manager at an office isn't a boss because he's not the CEO, that's silly. But it was a bit of a dick move for them to mislead people in that way. They could've just put capo or member of the mob or whatever. I'm sure that would be just about as enticing lol.

The crazy thing about Mafia: Lost Heaven Definitive Edition is that, before playing it, I was kinda fascinated by mob life and thought it was kinda cool (I know, I was an idiot that way), but after playing it, how the story being told is really something else to me. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. Not that I don't love it about the quality, I just don't love the feelings that I got from it. After that, I completely lost the stupid "fascination" about that kinda thing and I never find it interesting anymore to play Mafia-themed games or watch movies about it.
