Where do u find this in Bible ? Denying Jesus is the Christ or The Messiah is not Christianity.. Accepting Jesus as the Christ means we believe He is the "Anointed one".. But who anointed him as the high priest and the King.. He as a Father anointed himself the son?? Believing such tradition is what puts someone against the Christianity of the the Bible.. Believing Jesus was anointed by the Father the God to save us from Sin and Death is what Christians should believe... Jesus is divine in nature. But not equal with the Father who is almighty, who even gave birth to (created) Jesus.. Jesus is the firstborn of all creations.. So directing prayers to the christ or considering him as the Creator and almighty God is purely against Christianity of the Bible.. May be it aligns with the traditions but always against the Bible

I'm Catholic and definitely enjoyed this video. I did, however, want to point out a small error in the description of Protestantism. Some Protestants, particularly Anglicans and (some) Lutherans, do in fact have a hierarchical clergy. Otherwise, that part of the description is true for the rest of the Protestants.

Right. I'm a Lutheran but Lutherans are often closer to Rome than to the rest of Protestantism. There isn't a Lutheran church in the town that I am in at the moment so I currently go to the Catholic church instead.
@Azriel1066

Mostly agree. I'm an Anglican and I wouldn't characterise our church as entirely Protestant. It certainly has Protestant elements, particularly with early inclusions of Calvanist thought, but I would still hold that the Anglican Church is still Catholic, just not Roman Catholic. High Church Anglicans, in particular, are more recognisably Catholic than Protestant.

@@Gurwinji Acts 2 When the Holy Spirit comes at Pentecost is what Born Again is for us and how it is received. Only by GOD. Changing your life to surrender to GOD may feel like being born again to a new "lifestyle" but it is not Born Again as, Born Again with His Spirit as Jesus speaks to Nicodemus and talks to him about entering The Kingdom (John 3:3). You will have a supernatural encounter with GOD and feel HIS Spirit. Some people experience this at different times. Once you surrender to GOD and Follow The Way The Truth The Life, next ask and seek for HIS Holy Spirit. That is The Helper, The Advocate, the same Spirit in Christ of GOD will dwell in you just as Scripture says in Roman 8:11. I hope I helped clarify for you what Born Again is. Some of the things I see are when you are Born Again with HIS Spirit, you will begin to feel a conviction to adhere to Scriptures and live Christlike. You will walk narrow and burn hot. You will start to walk in accordance to the steps established by HIS Will and not your own understanding. You walk by Faith not by sight using your Holy Spirit as your guide. You will inherit your CLEAN Spiritual Gifts and HIS Spirit will begin to show you areas in your life that need to be sharpened and/or Cleaned so you can be close to The True Vine. An important note about Born Again in Spiritual Warfare, You CAN NOT be "possessed" (yet we all face spiritual battles). When you are not born again Matt 12:44-45 is why unclean spirits can enter an empty house because it hasn't been filled yet with HIS Spirit, so always fill your life with The Way The Truth The Life and make GOD First in all you do. I pray you and anyone else reading this are Born Again with HIS Holy Spirit, walking Christlike following The Way The Truth The Life, in Yeshua HaMashiach Iesous Christos Jesus Christ of Nazareth name, HalleluYah - Sister Desiree

Additional scripture is heretical
@DarthCasus
@DarthCasus 16 күн бұрын
@@lordchadthe69thofsussex72 No it is not. Before the Bible was, it was a collection of many different accounts written by prophets and apostles of God. To say additional scripture is heretical is to call the entirety of the New Testament heretical as they are all additional to the scripture written of Moses. God works across all continents, therefore to continents without the Bible it makes sense there must be a record among those peoples of their own by which to teach the truth of Jesus Christ, therefore the Book of Mormon, as being scripture written from a different continent with no connection to Israel and Jerusalem of Jesus Christ's mortal ministry, must therefore have been given revalation by God to know of the truth of His light.

@@Gringoviej0 the authority of the Nicean and Apostle’s Creeds aren’t in the fact that some old priests wrote them down. It’s rather the fact that over 1,600 years ago, Christians of all different stripes came together and decided what the cornerstones of Christianity are BASED ON SCRIPTURE. It’s pretty simple. If you deny the divinity of Christ, you aren’t a Christian. If you deny that He died sacrificially for our sins, or that He didn’t defeat death and rise on the 3rd day, or many other things, you aren’t a Christian. In essence, if there’s a part of the Gospel that you’re cutting out or rewriting, you’re not a Christian. It’s not that complicated to have a few guide rails defining what is acceptable belief and what isn’t.

While many Christians are antagonized for their beliefs, none are more so than the Mormons (with Mennonites being a close second). Its pretty hard to understand why if you've met Mormons before. I was fortunate enough to know quite a few when I served in the Army. Even one of my drill sergeants in basic training was Mormon, as well as one of my Platoon Leaders. They were in my experience excellent soldiers, loyal, honorable, kind (well the DS didn't 'seem' kind of course!), and professional. I am also fortunate enough to have a few Mormons as personal friends. Knowing how nice these people are, how kind they are, and how much they help their communities, it makes one wonder why such a group is so demonized. Well it comes down to how kind and helpful they are. That is why they are targeted. I wanted to call it jealousy. That people see in them something they lack themselves and lash out. But I'm afraid it is worse than that. The Church of Latter-Day Saints has some doctrines that are strange and I hesitate to call incorrect due to the ideal of friendship and I will only say it out of sincerity (and please don't take that as a criticism, I don't wish for you do feel the need to change or defend such doctrines, just as Jesus did not require a Roman Centurion to abandon his duties). However their doctrines do produce a group of people who are doing far more good than harm. And it is for that reason people attack them. People in general wish to live in a society without consequences. Those who adhere to good tenants threaten that ideal. When groups of people begin having standards against divorce, adultery, excess, and not taking personal responsibility, it makes others very uneasy. And it should. Your best course of action is to continue to live as you do, do the good that you do, and thus inspire others to do the same. The more attacks you receive because of it, the more good you are doing.

I attended a Unitarian Universalist Church for the better part of two years, and the people there did not consider themselves to be Christians. Unitarianism was a legitimate Christian denomination that rejected the Trinity, but was Christian in all other ways. Universalism was a belief that all roads will eventually lead to God. At some point, these two disparate groups united in the Unitarian universalist church. I’m not really sure how that happened since the one seems opposed to the other and in the two years I attended none of them seemed terribly clear on it either, nor did they seem terribly interested.

An important distinction to understand here is that there are two Catholic Churches, both of which posit they are the one true Catholic Church: the Orthodox Catholic Church and the Roman Catholic Church. The confusion comes from how followers identify themselves with their denomination. Roman Catholics typically refer to themselves as Catholics, while Orthodox Catholics tend to refer themselves as Orthodox. Both denominations are Catholic, and the denomination we typically refer to as just “Catholic” (at least from the American perspective) is really only referring to Roman Catholics and not all Catholics.

Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants, that’s it!!! The Catholics and Orthodox have apostolic succession and a lineage dating back to the apostles. Their church fathers are literally the disciples of the apostles of Jesus. Also let’s point out, they don’t worship Mary as a goddess or the saints as God. They venerate the saints and Mary, in other words highly respect and revere them. Inasmuch as Jesus is our role model, he is perfect, worthy, and God. The saints were not worthy, had sinned in their lives, but still dedicated their lives to God and literally left everything for him. They are our role models as well since they show us that even though we are unworthy and don’t deserve this love from God, we must follow their example of humbleness and loyalty to God. As for the Protestants, some of their denominations have valid sacraments as well and believe in the sayings of the Bible and say that is their authority. Paul however says to believe what is orally spoken and what is written. This is how we know for sure the Holy Spirit is at work in these churches because Jesus gave the Holy Spirit to the apostles and they passed it down to these individuals. Furthermore we know they have the Holy Spirit because although there was a schism and separation that happened between these churches, St. Paul emphasizes in 1. Corinthians 11:18-19, “For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you.” Anyone who denies the teachings of the Bible or the true identity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (God) cannot be Christian. How can you say Mormons, Unitarians, Marcions, and Quakers are Christian??!!! To the Mormons, you cannot be a Christian if you deny the deity of Christ!!To the Unitarians, you cannot be Christian because you don’t believe in the trinity. Although you may say this an invention by the church and is not even biblical, I raise a question to you…. How can God be love if he is not 3 persons but 1 person. Who does he share his love with even before creation started. Love itself must have 3 involved. St. Augustine used a perfect analogy as he said the Father was the lover, the Son is the beloved, and the Spirit is love. The Spirit essentially unites the Father and Son. This is why we can say God is love. To the Marcions, the God of the Old Testament is not different than the God of the New Testament. Also how can you claim the New Testament to be scripture when the Old Testament is literally the basic grounds for why the New Testament was established. When St. Paul says that we are “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone,” who are these prophets? These prophets are the prophets of the Old Testament who were sent by God to deliver a message of hope and warning from the Lord. Same for the apostles. The definition of apostle is one who is sent out. Therefore both Old and New Testament have the same foundation and therefore the same God. To the Quakers, St. Paul points out that there must be bishops and deacons within the church. Very simply, where are you rooted in. Do you follow the Bible or are you simply using morals to justify your faith? Because then you should read 1. Timothy Chapter 3, and let the spirit guide you into the truth of what the church is supposed to be structured like. Also, why don’t you have sacraments. These are straight up commandments from Jesus Christ in the new testament that you must follow. If you knowingly reject the participation of the sacraments you are not of the church or the body of Christ.

Once upon a time, the Orthodox and Catholics were one church, that is, they were all Orthodox. The Western and Eastern churches existed, but the Western church changed its teachings and became heretical officially in 1054. In 1054, the division into the heretical Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church arose. The Roman Catholic Church is the origin of all Protestant heresies and over 300 Protestant heresies or sects. The Roman Catholic Church is heretical and the source of all heresies or sects.

A better breakdown would be as follows: Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Protestant, Assyrian Catholic Church of the East, Messianic Judaism, and Non-Denominational. I put non-denominational as a separate category because by their own admission they are unaffiliated. Anyone can start a non-denominational church, even a woman.
@CASH-THE-NERD
@CASH-THE-NERD 15 күн бұрын
Ya, I’m in a Non-Denominational church. And in my opinion makes the most sense. For example, The Earth being made in 7 days is just a Metaphor, because how else would the Carbon dating and Dinosaurs make sense. God did create everything, but he didn’t do it all at ounce.
@Procopius464
@Procopius464 14 күн бұрын
@CASH-THE-NERD It's not a metaphor though (and anyways a metaphor for what?). No one could write an account of 6 days of creation more plainly, even specifying that there is morning and evening. IT also says elsewhere in the Bible that God made the world in six days. Dinosaurs have always existed alongside humans, and were still in this world at least as late as the medieval period, when they were called "dragons" and still depicted in art. You should look up the Acambaro figurines and tell me what looks like. Also look at the animals depicted on the Ishtar Gate, and the Narmer stone from Egypt (just to name a few). Carbon dating is fake and unreliable. They always rely on assumptions when they run those figures, and sometimes they will get millions of years of difference from different parts of the same dead animal. It's a hoax designed to lend a veneer of science to what is actually a pagan religion.

3:07 so they're fully rejecting father when they're rejecting father rejecting son John 5:23: "That all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him." This verse highlights the unity of the Father and the Son, making rejection of one a rejection of both. Bible never teaches something you have to reject old testament entirely......

Sorry but the Christians in this list stopped after protestant. By definition you are not Christian if you deny god being triune, jesus and the holy spirit is god. There is literally a specific set of things that all Christians must believe to be Christians and one of them is that God is triune, father, son, and holy spirit. Single god, 3 distinct persons. Non-created, meaning jesus and the holy spirit are not created, they are god. Another being that jesus is god in the flesh whom came down and died for our salvation on the cross, not just the son of god, not just the messiah, but god in the flesh.
