Yes! It’s been 5 months since I’ve straightened mine. Been doing protective styles like braids or low maintenance buns. I usually take 5-6 month break periods

I do the samething..detangle then twist and air dry. I went last yr. for like 7 months without straightening my hair and there was significant growth! Guess because I was just twisting it and leaving it alone
