There’s not enough mag verity at higher fps. Feels like everything is just talon or cylinder fed. It would be cool if there were more gimmicks like double stacked, pan mags, etc. to make blasters more interesting.

@@legoboy-ox2kx That would be true if you were to make a high capacity mag, but the most I've seen is an 11 round doublestack magazine. It is awesome that you can make a doublestack magazine, but 11 rounds isn't super impressive.

Hot Take: Slam fire in performance blasters SHOULDNT EXIST. It causes problems and takes away your ability to deprime w/o dry firing.

I never owned any BoomCo myself, but I had a friend who had quite a few for HvZ, mostly used the Rapid Madness (I think?). I like the Darts but so many of the blasters felt gimmicky for no reason. If there were more conventional blasters avaliable, I would have picked up some.

I am convinced that BoomCo turned out that way because Mattel executives were part of the "anything even slightly similar to firearms are terrible for children" crowd, so everything BoomCo had to be whacky and goofy with impractical design and stupid gimmicks in order to get released. The first blaster that was truly practical from BoomCo came as part of the Halo collaboration because the execs were fine with it because it was from a game and not an OG design.

I agree about the deploy. I thrifted one last week and was surprised by the performance. All the criticisms I'd seen said that it was bad even by the standards of the time but it seems normal compared to ither bkaster that old.

I used a stock deploy at a game once. I managed to tag so many people with modded blaster, more powerful faster rates of fire. It was fun seeing their faces when they realised the blaster i was using 😂

Deploy and Rebelle secrtet Shot are fun gimmick blasters... There was also SpyNet Briefcase Blaster blaster which was kinda obscure (i know it only from one or two rieviews) but seemed fun even without spring assisted "transformation". Are they battle efective blasters? No... But i would like to see return of the concept as is...

@@OutOfIdeas9977 The main gimmick of the blaster was it's spring loaded deploying feature, which had sliding parts. When retracting or extending, they can easily pinch at the joints.

@ In that case, anyone who got pinched by it has a massive skill issue. I have 5 deploys and deployed them hundreds of times and I never once got pinched.

A couple of hot takes: I think hyper was amazing and that Hasbro should continue with more blasters, I really think that the n series sprinter looks awful, And we need more full auto mag fed blasters that are ages 8+, I really want to get my hands on one and destroy my friends, but it's all semi auto or 14+ or not even made anymore, so if nerf could make a sort of n series hyperfire, that would be awesome

Boomco blasters were broadly mediocre at best, with a few standouts. But Boomco DARTS are great fliers, and no more dangerous than a fishtailing foam-tail Elite dart. The Boomco dart is the one that needs to be re-introduced, not all this DRM mushy crap (lookin' at you, N1).
