I mean the whole dlc is hard asf. They really heard ppl ask "well maybe I'm gonna be over-leveled..." and decided to make it feel like u do lvl1 damage on ng7 enemies

Then they run the excuse "oh well you just didn't get the scadoosh fragments" like this area is HUGE and has areas that are practically empty. Even with the blessings, I think they made things dumb a lot of the time. In comparison to Bloodborne's dlc for example, all the bosses tend to have an archetype that they fit into, even with being difficult. Maria has a lot of mixups but low HP in comparison to Lawrence who is the opposite end. It felt difficult, but they tended to have some type of weakness you had over them. They might have possibly one one-shot move, that is usually telegraphed, like Ludwig's. Here, enemies have tons of HP, practically any will 2 shot you at best, lack of openings, and are all pretty aggressive. I know the whole "git gud" but is this really good design? This just seems they tried to make everything hard through easy hp and have high damage methods, rather than make good designs that happen to be hard. Just my personal opinion. The dlc is good, but is not my favorite dlc by a good amount, and am flabbergasted that people would give this 10/10 scores, I'd say 7.5/10 is more fair, since you're judging the dlc itself and how it added on top of the base game, rather than "oh well it's in a really good game so it's always going to be a 10/10".

Anyone looking for tips. Buff yourself to hell with magic resistance. Use mixed physic flask magic+all damage negation. Use talisman drake and use the noble face mask with 5.5 magic resistance and highest magic resistance armor. You’ll sponge all her attacks.

I had a lot less trouble with the humanoid bosses than I did with the crazy ones. Rellana for example was not as crazy as the Dancing Lion for me and it was far less irritating learning Rellana's movements than it was the Dancing Lion. This trend actually continued throughout the whole DLC, with Messmer and all the humanoid fights (apart from the final Boss which is an exception to this rule)

For anyone looking for an extremely consistent way to beat this boss EVEN at NG+7 (max stats): Get a great shield and a heavy weapon with cold infused (her weakest stat). Use the great shield talisman, curved sword talisman, dragon crest talisman, and your choice of 4th, I reccomend ritual sword or green turtle shell. You can already see where this is going but you’re going for guard counters. Even at NG+7 you can block an entire string from her and land a guardcounter, and every 4th one guarantees a stagger. If you’re really good or bring some summons a charged heavy can count as well and you can basically stun lock her as long as you time things right and don’t get interrupted. (I tested this myself while I was on a NG+8 play through and you quite literally can tank anything and get a guard counter) hopefully this helps some people :) Edit: other small tips, lightning and frost are her weakest alignments along with pierce damage. When she does the 360 attack for her phase transition if you’re right on top of her and roll you have like a full 5 seconds to do whatever you want and her free damage. Finally just like Malenia if you roll INTO her while she doing her wild swings, 90% of the time she’ll go past you and need to readjust giving you some windows to heal, damage, etc. Good luck tarnished 🫡

This boss is just annoying. Her dodge felt like an input read and breaks the tracking of your attacks. Her strings are unpredictable, and on top of that she just does the next thing without any downtime. Her attacks does way too much damage and the execution of her skills are too fast. I just defeated her today and it felt goooooood.
