Nerfed Combo Damage can’t stop Hwoarang!

It's very sad to see a character with such a cool design, old and loved by many in the franchise, whether long-time fans or even newer ones, with well-made animations, fun to play and increasingly weaker. And it makes no sense at all. Because he was already far from being top tier in the game, much less dishonest. In my opinion, it borders on disrespectful to the character.

I feel you man. Hwoarang is so much fun. The nerfs were kinda fair to be honest, but the fact he didn't get any other changes or buffs is quite bad in my opinion. I was hoping he was getting some juice this major patch, but it turns out we have to wait until next major patch x( Though Hwoarang is still usable and awesome, I'm hoping he gets some overhaul on some of his moves that are basically useless and never seen.

​@@hrleinad I understand what you mean and I feel that too sometimes. But I don't think it's just because of abusive moves. But do you have anything in particular that you think should get nerfed? If we're doing a comparison, there are other characters doing way better than Hwoarang though. We also need to take Hwoarang usages in different ranks as well to be able to assess properly what needs to be balanced. But that is very hard to do, I imagine.

114 dmg? Isn't that almost like a wall-less combo? O.O The rage art dmg scales upwards after breaking the wall with a heatsmash. But I don't know if it is worth doing. Still, love your videos. Keep up the good work! :)

Next thing nerfed will be Basuka. Honestly, like someone says bellow, Hwo will be played only by aliens on this game, OG sunday afternoon player will give up one our TKD ginger.

Does anyone know why a second tornado is not possible after RFS f+4,4,4 launch? To me this looks wrong.

Because the move itself is a tornado. You only get 1 tornado per combo.

@@Blrzr It's basically just how the game is, some launchers Instant Tornado and it's not based on the move having the tornado property, that just means it can be used as a tornado. Usually it's combo/CH launchers that do it such as RFS f+44, as you say, or d+44, but it's not a hard and fast rule. The way to tell is just when the camera pans downwards on hit, that's what indicates a tornado. Someone with better knowledge can correct me, I'm a newbie so that's just how it seems to me.

So what we're trying to say is that there are moves that instant tornadoes. Hwoarangs rff/lff d4,4 and rfs f4,4 are two of them. It's just the way it is. If these moves served as launchers without tornado they would have been a bit overpowered, in my opinion.

The 4 gets canceled into right flamingo stance. Would be cool if he could transition into right stance like he had in T7.
