I went through the same acute leukemia like Adam, I remember I purchased his book ‘Confessions of a heretic’ online while waiting for bone marrow transplant in the hospital, the book gave me so much mental strength and positivity!! I’ll never forget.. Now I’m over 1 year cancer free!

Same boat. I met both Nergal and Orion after their set back in 08'in Austin Texas @ Stubbs outdoor amphitheatre it was my first heavy metal show ever as a 17 year old kid and they both were exemplary human beings. Signing stuff, chatting and joking shaking hands and it was beautiful. Best time of my life.

what a great interview. before i left Christianity i hated his guts, but after hearing how much his life has changed after his bout with Leukemia years ago and how much his mental health has improved since then i'm inspired. in a weird way it's an answer to prayers i've made for him. i *absolutely* admire him now, and only wish him the best in this life and the next. i was unsure about him and the band, but now that i see Adam's heart and willingness to grow above what he had been dealing with i couldn't be more certain... Behemoth is one of the most genuine bands i've listened to, and i'm happy to see Nergal's progress over the last two decades. he's amazing!

@@W_Strone_Swiatla i agree with you on that... Christianity has been used to control the masses, so we need more people to stand up and oppose it.

Nergal is an incredible human being I don't think death metal has to have that "all serious" mascarade. Good thing about any art is the actual permission of doing it freely to express yourself and help others express too. Amazing interview guys🎉

I love this new era of metal heads speaking so openly about life and emotions. First video I see on this chanel, I don’t know if the Dance question is a fixed regular but I love extreme metal all the way and am passionate about dancing. I also know quite a few other metalheads who do so too. So is it a death metal concert this weekend or are we dancing psytrance techno or funk ? Sort of thing... Life is not to be wasted as Nergal said. All the colors in between black and white. Thanks for such a great interview!

I’m catholic, but I believe in Nergal, esp when he said F.U to the Russians invading Ukraine when it escalated (they’re on tour, saw him in a gig) We’re humans, and the religion I grew up with really doesn’t define my taste in music or beliefs. Evil exists, so does good. 🤘🏽

This is what I thought when I was 14, and then I became a man. The ego dies, your own will dies, but God's will is eternal. There's nothing more important than preserving the flame of Christ, the flame of the eternal light! You don't matter.

@@bosumrall4235 That's your own personal belief. Your personal interpretated theological beliefs about something don't constitute absolute fact. Time for you to wake up and get a hold of this concept. If Jesus couldn't save Nergal 2000 years ago by his death and resurrection, then that would make Jesus a loser and satan the winner. Correct?
