Hi. Thank you for watching. If you think I missed something, please let me know. We are happy to have kept to 2 vids a week so far. Lets keep that momentum for February. Look out for a Valentine's Special and another on the last Saturday of the month. We try to do the longer vids then. I hope to able to do our first live stream at the end of March. Thank you for your support so far ! #shrimpandchill #Shrimpers4life

I love how you cover many questions that other videos don't. This is an awesome contribution to the health of nitrate snails

Very good video again. I love my nerites and would not think of a nother tank without them. Definately a +1 for marine.

Thank you for the comment Warren. Must say I am really looking forward to it. New experience and a bit scared, but I have some awsome friends that are hopefully going to help me through this.

Very nice colours indeed, very good against the algae also, problem: I have white eggs 🥚 all over the place in my tank, only two snails in few months.

Caution, Only the Olive Nerite Snail is a freshwater snail. The other nerite varieties are saltwater snails that will live for a short time in your freshwater tank.

What do you consider as a short time in freshwater as I have numerous other types in my tanks for well over a year. Did you possibly mean brackish ?

Thank you for sharing, will have a look at again in the morning. I must say that I have watched some and unfortunately I do not fully agree with everything he has said so far. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neritina_natalensis IMO the main reason nerites do not last in freshwater aquariums is that they run out of food. Yes they eat biofilm, and are mostly kept in display tanks, but the hard algea doesnt last. I would advise keeping 2 per 60 liters of water. If there is no more green algea, growing some on rocks in a outdoor pond or tank is better than feeding them zucchini or algeawaffers (if you can get them to eat that in the first place). Then IMO the second biggest issue is them either climbing out of the tank or they get stuck or flipper over. Lastly I would say that when we say thrive breeding them is a big issue as they all go through a larva stage as well. And for the larva stage same as amano you need marine or brackish water at least. Breeding them is hard, not impossible. I think I will definitely do another vid on these guys. Thanx again ♥️🦐🐌
