This is pretty much the reason I've quit FPS titles in general. Now that Cod is dying, everyone wants to be the next COD without finding out why COD was so beloved in the first place. The only FPS I play anymore is TF2 and I'm about ready to jump ship entirely with how Valve treats that game. Nowadays I'm playing fighting games, platformers and card games. If I'm playing a shooter, it's in 3rd person, like Risk of Rain 2 or RE4. Also the toxic environment is awful, many hearts go out to the devs. It's usually not their faults for the games being made the way they are anyway.

Im studying 'IT-technologist'. Our subjects are: network technology, server technology, programming, embedded systems and project management. I've been working on some projects as a developer and sometimes you're forced to work with people who hate you for no reason and its super stressful. Theres a lot of competetion in that envirorment and most people dont Wanna share knowledge because they Wanna take all the credit and it dosen't help that a lot of them are socially handicapped. I dont mind sharing knowledge and I know that comunication is key to lift the project. COD should probably think about hiring a team in the same way you cast a movie meaning that the team should have chemistry and I think that 'that' would result in a better outcome. If the input is good then the output should be good aswell

most times ive heard someone call a group a boys club is someone who is very low on status, jealous of power and bitter at higher ups. Completely agree with this. Until it gets serious and investigated properly this comes across as people not liking any of the direction - granted the industry is known for overworking developers. Really poor why they're b*tching about CoD. I have personally been playing cod since its golden days and stopped when sbmm was still being implemented in Cold War. Usually, treyarch puts out "playable" titles. But sbmm, at my level, is just way too sweaty, lol. I like a mixture of pubstomping and competition when it comes to matchmaking. So yes, sbmm is why a lot of people quit cod, and the devs should understand that the big boys at activision needs to have a game that can compete against them or else we will never get a good fast paced arcade shooter centered around 6v6 respawn multiplayer.

I might be an optimist but i think this is a good thing. This game is suppose to be COD without SBMM that's obviously the objective. Speaking from personal experience developing a business plan and goal, we had lots of employees who thought they knew better and fought with management because they didn't understand the overall goal. At the end of the day it sound like this "Boys club" is making the decisions and keeping the goal of competing with COD a top priority. Another example would be Apple, old Steve Jobs had vision. They ousted him after he was labeled difficult, mean etc. only for him to come back after the company was failing and revived the company to what it is today. I Think this is a good thing as weve seen with other games/devs splinter off into a million different modes/political agendas. Think COD when they tried Rocket league or whatever the F that was. Sounds to me like this "Boys Club" is doing what management ought to do which is manage.

My somewhat unpopular opinion on this: It sounds like there is leadership who don’t know how to properly lead, and workers who aren’t strong in communication. This is not a development issue and should be kept separate from development issues. In terms of chasing cod, imo there is no problem with that. MW3 is the worst selling COD in a while, and XDefiant could've easily scooped up those disgruntled fans, along with those who have just grown bored of the game and are moving on to something else until Gulf War is announced. Honestly rather having missed deadlines and put more effort in the game than just throwing us something to hit a deadline. The situation here sounds horrible though.

I would rather wait 10+ years for a game to come out I’d rather have a finished polished smooth game than a rushed out cash grab game. These people that want these games out and broken should be fired instantly and replace these people that are passionate and want a game to be finished before release
